SPOILERS for this week's THE FASHION SHOW (episode 10)

I had a fun afternoon of viewing.

I began with this week's edition of THE FASHION SHOW. I certainly agree with who went home. The four best ones do seem to be in the finals. Haven might have perhaps been a good addition, too, but these four are certainly talented and creative.

I'm not sure how many people here watch this show. But i watched episode 10 online last night. I also agree with who went home. Did not care for that person at all. And copying that dress. I don't know if they edited around what really happened. But that person sure did look like a big fat liar.  I do like the final 4. But how is it determined. Totally by public vote?  Is there next week's show and then the vote and then the week after we find out the winner? iuo  aoiudfsioudfsaoiu oiu  oiu iou uoi oiu oiu iou iou oiuoiu

Matt H regarding BURN NOTICE:
Quote
I really enjoyed his performance, and thought the episode was one of the strongest for the show in the new season.

I think Keith & I would both agree with you.  He gave a wonderful performance.  Who knows, maybe they will bring him back for a repeat visit.  His name caught my attention in the opening titles, only one letter off on the spelling as the name charactor ;)

DR elmore, thanks for the background on his family connections.  I then went & read his bio for an explanation on the name change.

Thank you DR Cilla!!  It is out of state which could make it more difficult for him.  Of course he is very willing to relocate & we all like the location.  No, it isn't Ashland.

thanks DR Jennifer!!

DR Jennifer, when did BB start again? I know you've been talking about it, but I was a bit out of the loop during that discussion

There's only been one episode so far (last thursday). Tonight is the 2nd show. Not much has happened thus far. If you want a brief rundown you can probably check out hamsterwatch. Although that has spoilers of what has happened that they have not shown.

Basically all that has happened on thurs is:

*

*

*

They split the houseguests into 4 cliques (populars, brains, athletes, and off-beats). They competed but not for hoh. The winning clique got an extra member come into the house. They were former BB houseguests (jessica, brian, jessie, cowboy). Jessie (the body builder who is quite obnoxious) got back in.

Really nothing has happened so far. You haven't missed much!

The right side of my lower back is hurting again. I put a heating pad on it. IT acts up from time to time. but i forget what i did last time to fix it. It's not hurting bad. But ever since i hurt it badly last year it acts up.

It probably doesn't help to carry my niece (although she is only 10 lbs). But she likes to be walked around and held!

DR Cillaliz, no problem. Really there wasn't much that happened on BB. Although i've glanced at the live feed reports, and they've already done the nominating and veto.

Since jesse is in the athlete clique nobody from that clique can be nominated.

DR Jennifer, back vibes.  Did you try alternating ice & heat?  That might work.  Most the time I only use heat, but then my back problem is chronic.  Stretches also help.

Oddly enough, Elmore and Cillaliz engaged in quite a battle over the best nipple a short time ago.

Meatloaf is in the oven, and ginormous enough to provide me with leftover sandwiches for the week!

Alas, the birthday party I attended turned out to be an informal dinner at a diner in Chelsea. There were six of us at the table. I was the only one not wearing a tank-top. Sadly, I was also the only one who was not tweaked out and talking about which drugs they took last weekend, and which drugs they would be taking later at the bar.  Needless to say, I didn't go to the bar after dinner. :-\

*I've just never understood how a group of highly educated, smart(?), financially secure, physically attractive and otherwise socially responsible gay men think that the use of controlled and uncontrolled, illegal substances is a "good" thing? I've always shied away from drug (a)buse out of fear, but I've never understood the sense of pride that some people get from knowing that they did not get caught snorting cocaine, taking a hit of heroine and/or taking the latest designer drug.

And if I'm permitted to be a bit judgmental for just one more post...

In other news, since I'm downtown, I'm going to go ahead and head east to get a good view of tonight's Manhattanenge. It will be a good night for a sunset "on the grid".

Jose - As the old song goes from A Little Knife Music:

Where the shooting up is pleasant
And our life is never sane
We're all living for the present
We'll be laying our friends
As we're taking cocaine

For a weekend of effront'ry
We're so active and we're bitchy as well
A weekend of effront'ry
Where a day being sober is hell
