As noted on All That Chat:

Swing your diamonds wide, Sweeney
Hold them to the skies
Freely flows the blood of those who're Loreleis

It takes a woman
To quietly brood
To bake him and change him
To her kind of food

Okay, someone really needs to explain to me where all the errant and truant people are - where the HELL are S. Woody and der Brucer?  Where is Jane?  Where's Laura?  And the list goes on and on and on.

 ???

I posted today & commented on Laura's photo.

Thanks for all good vibes

As of 7:35pm EST I finished the first draft of the play.

I will work on the play with my actor tomorrow night and do a quick read through before the reading.

It will be Saturday at 3pm, but I don't have the place.

I also found out that today that one of my jokes (I think one of the best) is going to be antiquated. It is a product and the company decided today to change the name. i thought it was an exciting name and it is being change to an ordinary one that many other companies use.

Oh well.

Got to go.

Print out the plays and my laptop battery is about to give up 5% more to go

And if Johnny Depp ever plays Barbra playing Carol

(to clarify after Ron's post below, Depp would play Mrs. L, a cross between Mrs. Dolly Levi and Mrs. Nellie Lovett):

Louis:
Well, hello

Mrs L:
Look who's here!

Louis:
Nellie, this is Louis

Mrs. L:
Hello, Louis!

Louis:
Nellie, It's so nice to have you here where you belong

Mrs. L:
I am so glad to be here!

Louis:
You're lookin' swell,

Mrs. L:
Thank you, Louis!

Louis:
Nellie, I can tell

Mrs. L:
Does it show?

Louis:
Nellie
You're still glowin', you're still crowin'
You're still

BOTH:
Oom . . . goin' strong

Louis:
I feel the room swayin'
And that man's slayin'
One of our old favorite chums from way back when

Mrs. L:
I remember him

Louis:
 so,

Mrs. L:
I'm gonna flavor him

Louis:
Show some flair, fellas, find her an empty chair, yeah!

BOTH:
Nellie'll never go avay again . . .

DR Michael S-congrats on finishing the draft.

I often find it mind boggling why name changes are done, like Washington Mutual to WaMu, or SciFi to SyFy.

I put on a  DVD to check the quality and immediately fell asleep.  Workers are gone, so there is blessed quiet.  I'm listening to CDs right now and waiting for my designer to show up and pick up the rest of the stuff for our next release.

DR Michael S-congrats on finishing the draft.

I often find it mind boggling why name changes are done, like Washington Mutual to WaMu, or SciFi to SyFy.

Regarding the latter, I have strong suspicions it was changed to "SyFy" because too many people were referring to it as the [skiff'-ee] channel....and that was because they didn't know better, not because they were just having fun with the abbrieviation "SciFi".

As for WaMu...."Washington Mutual" is a mouthful and sounds really "stuffy" whereas "WaMu" sounds totally cool and hip.

And yes, that is speculation, too, and no, I don't think it's cool and hip....I think it's ludicrous.

But.....whatchagonnado!

DR FJL -- in your riff on "Hello, Dolly!" starring Johnny Depp as Carol Channing portraying Dolly Levi....who is this "Nellie" person?

Ron P - Nellie is Mrs. Lovett, i figured if he's doing Carol he's probably play Mrs. L instead of Sweeney.  Like Depp's idea, this is not thought out with the utmost logic.  :)

I have been busy transferring all the phone numbers from one cell phone to another.

I hate doing that.  When I purchased my current phone I was told phones now have a chip, or something, that transfers the info for you.

Oh, so SciFi went from skiff'-ee to see-fee, big diff! ;D

And as I left the rehearsal hall, I came across the Blue Bunny Ice Cream street team handing out free samples of their new "Double-Strawberry Sedonas" - frozen yogurt ice cream sandwiches.  Quite tasty, and somewhat nutritious too!  Free Breakfast!

*Thanks again, DR Cillaliz for tipping me off to their promo.  They'll actually be back this afternoon handing out more Champ Cones and t-shirts. I may have to return for "lunch". ;)

A friend of mine was acting as blue bunny barker for awhile encouraging people to get a "champ"
It's out of character for him, his wife was quite surprised.   He's there for depositions and keeps calling her from intermissions of Broadway shows. she is jealous.
