I knew June was from Boston, and had even found some kiddie pictures of her in her hometown paper back when she did dance recitals and such.....

DR ELMORE was 100% correct.  I should have been happy with my DVD of IM WEISSEN ROSSL....but no I had to buy GIUDITTA as well.

Oh dear....the singing is very bad....the staging is bad....the sets are okay....the costumes are ugly....and the music....well if that's good LEHAR, I am DR JOSE's monkey's uncle.

How is your brother-in-law today, Ginny?

Thanks for asking, DR Laura.  Last we heard, he's still pretty groggy, but progressing as expected.  Richard and I will stop there on our way home from Lima tomorrow.

John's oldest daughter just posted on FB that her dad is sitting up in ICU.

It's been a semi frustrating but productive day.   They delivered the replacement mattress and discovered that there was never a center support on the frame when it was installed by the same store 3 1/2 years ago.  The deliver guy was pretty ticked off. I found it kind of amusing.

Anyway I went to the store and told my helpful salesman Kyle (he almost always waits on me there) what happened.  He brought up the sale in the computer and was more upset than I think I've seen him before.  He said he sold me a frame with a center support and was mad that they didn't deliver what he sold.   So he went and got what looks like deluxe frame and gave it to me free. Then he told me to sleep on the bed a couple nights and if the box spring isn't perfectly even to call him back and he'll send out a new one.

The frustrating part of the day revolves around the fact I can't for the life of me figure out what I did with Callie's meds.   I gave it to her upstairs last night and I had the dropper bottle in my hand when I came down stairs this morning. I have no idea where it went from there.  I have searched high and low and low and high. I have cleaned rooms where I was this morning... no luck.  So, I thought I'll just go get another dropper bottle and fill it from the big bottle I have in th cupboard.  Try to find a dropper bottle these days.  I've been to 5 stores and still haven't found one.  A pharmacist finally gave me a regular bottle and I bought a dropper.

I figured when I came home I'd find the original bottle, but still no luck

There was a great deal of discussion (?) yesterday regarding The Emmys.  I didn't see anyone else mention that Chandra Wilson was nominated in the category of "Outstanding Lead Actress In A Miniseries Or A Movie" for her performance in the TV film ACCIDENTAL FRIENDSHIP that was written by our very own, former DR Panni (Anna).

I missed that, thank you.  This is exciting news.

Unfortunately, Chandra has some incredible competition.

I did find some good things on sale.  My solar lights outside are trashed from the seasons.  I found a great clearance sale on them - about $3 a piece so I replaced those.  I also found a great sale on pillows and mattress pads so I got some for the new mattress.

The best thing is, I had to tear the whole bed etc apart, so there are no more dust bunnies living under my bed.  It's very clean there now.

Our Facebook class went very well this morning and we've been asked to do FB 102 (probably after Labor Day).  When I got home, Richard and I had lunch and then went to see the new Harry Potter movie.  I had trouble staying awake.

Is that a critique of the film?

Somewhat.  It's also an acknowledgement of the fact that I got up at 6:30 this morning!

BK, how was the lovely Caroline Munro? Sorry to hear the show was a bust.  As you said, it was always fun and always worth the ticket.  Was the foreign guy with the really expensive movie posters still there?

Pogue, no that poster guy wasn't there - I think the great dealers are a thing of the past at this show, which is a real shame.

Back from Grant's - the book looks fabulousssss - now to proof.  He was going very fast so I knew we'd missed a couple of style/format things (when I do e-mails or letters or stuff like that, we always indent on both sides so they're called out) - I've already found two such things and probably will find more.  But boy is it sharp-looking.

We both yawned a lot during the Harry Potter movie.  It's very dark and not much happens, really.  It seemed mostly like a set-up for the next (last) one.

I just posted three more Menken/Schwartz videos, so check 'em out at www.youtube.com/haineshisway - we have Jennifer Leigh Warren singing Stranger To The Rain, we have Christina Saffran Ashford singing Beauty and the Beast, and we have David Burnham singing Out There.
