I watched MR BK in The Last of Howard on The Partridge Family DVD last night. It certainly was the Bruce Kimmel show! Very funny.

I had stopped watching THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY by the 4th season....and I was quite disturbed to see how rough Mr David Cassidy was looking....but pleasantly surprised at how beautiful Miss Susan Dey had become.

I see that one of yahoo canada's lead stories is that a lot of fans hated Katie Holmes' dancing on last week's SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE.

I am somewhere in the middle. She was there to promote a foundation that gives scholarships to dancers. And some of the other heads of that are on the show. So in that way she was relevant.

However, SYTYCD is about excellence in dancing. And she was just mediocre. So in that respect i think she failed. But she is a big name. And she probably got some people to watch.

I would have survive 10 minutes of commercials but to put the show in a time slot of 80 minutes is nuts just to have 30 minutes of commercials is nuts.

Now I know my tv watching has gone down to almost nil.

If the show would have gone on for a fifth season there was talk of replacing David Cassidy or bring in another actor to help out.

Cassidy was at the height of his popularity. He was doing concerts and filming the show at the same time, so probably that was the reason for the rough look.

Pretty funny stuff. On friday night my niece (the 3 year old) made a card for her parents' anniversary. I hid it for her.

I used to do this and not tell her where it was because she would go to the place and give it to them early.

Anyhow i told her where it was yesterday (in the bottom of her sock drawer). I have to hide it where she can find it, yet where my sister won't accidently see it.

Well apparently this morning, without reminding her she told my sister she needed to be alone to get something. And she went into her sock drawer and found it herself.

She was very impressed with her card (my niece was impressed with her own card

).

She loves scrapbooking. So basically she just picks what she wants to put on the card. And then she glues it where she wants it. I spell out words for her and she sticks them on the card. Her cards actually look quite beautiful considering she is only 3.

BK, LOST season 5 comes out the first week of December.

Usually the new seasons only star mid to late january.

So you would have at least a month to watch season 5.

Like DAW, I was up late and am now up early. Oy. Had a fitful night of sleep with various 2 bar phrases repeating themselves in my addled pate. I am now dealing with BDD (brain dead drummer), a gentleman (and I use the term loosely) who seems to think the conductor giving notes after each act constitutes a personal attack, this despite the fact that virtually everyone last night (including me, LOL) got notes. BDD has had two temper tantrums down in the pit now, and it must simply stop, especially since in one instance he's been given the same friggin' note about 10 times--RALL means slow down, not speed up.

I was up late painting and the cleaning up. I have a rule to clean up the painting mess right away so I don't end up with little kitty prints all over the house.

Anyway, I didn't get to bed until after 2:00 and woke up a number of times. I'm surprised I woke up for the day before 8:00 AM. that's sleeping in for me, but I thought I'd sleep in more than that
