This Mitzi business is just bit spooky as I had a dream about Bruce's mother early this morning.

bk, have you ever considered re-printing all of the THE REAL A columns as a book?

I have, but it would require a massive amount of printing and proofing.

My Ask BK question:

How are you finding out what's available in the MGM vaults?  Do they have a master list they've provided you, or are you just going by what you already know is in there?  Or a combination?

I have a list and I occasionally go by what I know - a combo platter.

Note for Dr Sam:

Yesternight you posted:

Quote
My TV was made in 2006 (plasma screen) I thought is should have worked.

Surely that TV has a digital tuner and should receive all the local stations within range.

Are you sure you properly rescanned your TV for the new transmissions? The new channels are on different frequencies and your TV needs to "learn" about them. After the DTV switchover the TV needed to be re-educated by using the setup menu to rescan for all available channels.

A thread over at Twitter concerning the "Secrets of the TKTS booth," [the article I posted here earlier this morning] has rapidly devolved into posts like "they are located directly over the Hellmouth," and "The design of the line is to disorient you so that you think p. diddy would make a good Billy Flynn," and "In the year 2013, the red structure in times square will open and create a bridge to the stars."      ;D

Is that Food Network video over at Facebook, "What Would Brian [Boitano] Make," supposed to be a joke??

When I'm relaxing I can be very ambitious and make all sorts of plans. Feeling motivated the next morning may be something else.

Yes--how Buddy Hackett never had a pop singing career is beyond me.

As for the aged balsamic vinegar, DAW, I buy the cheap stuff and just let it sit on the shelf. In fact, lots of my groceries sit on the shelf.

Balsamic vinegar, like wine, will not age in glass, only in wood. The groceries, on the other hand, are not as fussy and, if not frozen, canned, or vacuum packed,  will age just about anywhere.

Hello Mitzi

Well I have had my operation.  I am no longe the bionic woman with tubes and "ports" stuck in me!!

When I went to see my oncologist yesterday morning he told me everything looks very good and that he doesn't need to see me again until NOVEMBER!!!!

Once again I want to thank all of you for all the support, the prayers, the vibes,  the cards and gifts during this stressful time .  I do not know how I would have gotten through it without you all.

I am sorry that since I have been back at work that I have not been here very much but I am  "paying back" there as well

I hope to be back here much more often soon - please know that even when I am not online you are all always in my thoughts and prayers

GREAT NEWS!! ;D

~~~VIBES FOR CONTINUED GOOD HEALTH!!~~~
Billie Holliday sings "Fine and Mellow" on television, 1957.
Nice. :)
Back from the doctor where the news was encouraging: time, some very different exercise strategies, new drugs, and patience. I have all of these but the last, but I must find some. When you've had near-perfect health for almost 60 years, any little problem seems gigantic.
At any rate, thanks for all the good wishes. Glad this part of the problem (diagnosis and treatment) is over. Now, let's see where it gets me.
~~~CONTINUED VIBES FOR MATT H.!!~~~

Um... Wine can and does continue to "age" in glass.  Well, some wines mellow out, while others can turn into vinegar or just "bad wine".
