The UPS man did bring another review item: Season 3 of DEXTER on Blu-ray, but it also doesn't come out until August 18th, so my two days off will continue. I will not be heading back to work until Sunday afternoon with the Blu-ray of KAGEMUSHA.

Now I have a few computer maintenance chores to tinker with, and then I'll head back down to finish GREASE and then join Harry Callaghan on an adventure to Blu-ray land.

Let us know if it's any good.  Has anyone heard any of the material from the musical version of "First Wives' Club" yet?

I haven't stopped since waking up at eight-thirty (no noise today at all - even though they appear to be working).  I woke up having made my decision, after watching the film that this soundtrack is from last night.  I'm going ahead with the two CD set because it's just too good and too important not to.  And we'll keep the price at 19.98, which will hopefully make it a must-have for people who may have this one score already and think that that's enough for them (I'm telling you, once you've heard the original film tracks, you will never ever listen to the rerecording again).  Even if I wanted to leave off the stereo album I still couldn't make it one CD, because the film tracks run close to fifty-three minutes, and Lord Love A Duck is twenty-eight minutes and I won't press a CD over eighty minutes (I usually won't go over seventy-eight, because they don't guarantee the discs then).

So, it's a two CD set.  And since the composer is a particular favorite of mine and since this is one of his finest scores (and one of its themes is a precursor to what would become his most well-known movie theme - and by well-known I mean in the pantheon of well-known).  I'm very excited.  I retitled about five of the tracks so they'd reflect what's happening in the film, and I had to edit together a track the way they did in the film - and the master will hopefully be ready and sent on Monday.

Well, we know one of them is "Lord Love A Duck" anyway.

Two days ago Vixdad opened a letter rom our insurance co stating that as of August 1 our copay for emergency room visits would increase from $0.00 to $50.00 (unless admitted)

Well you know me, never one to pass up a bargain - I just had to squeeze in one more visit while it was free

I know you like bargains, but don't you think this is overdoing it?  :>)

I haven't heard anything from "FWC" yet, but I've posted before that I love the song "The Life I Never Led" from Sister Act.

I am throwing my hat in the ring to ask for some health vibes come my way. I threw my neck out yesterday and I was adjusted today. But the neck and back still hurt.

Thanks

I specifically do not need romance!

Well, it worked for BK with the unknown score tracks, so I thought I would try it.

Good morning, all! Well, I was awake around 8:15 but it took me 30 more minutes to get the energy to get out of bed. I had several weird dreams, one involving the late great Larry Kert, but I remember next to nothing of them now.

As some of you may know, I was given an early b'day gift of a Nikon Coolpix camera - I'm still not sure if I'm completely enamored with it - and I have been playing with it on a daily basis.
Last night, I handed the camera over to DR FJL while DR Julie and I clowned around in front of a pillar in the hotel, these are the results:

As for the T.O.D.:

CD:  SISTER ACT - Original London Cast

DVD/BLU-RAY:
WATCHMEN: DIRECTOR'S CUT - Blu-Ray;  impressive film version of one of my favorite books.  Blu-Ray is the way to go with this one - I think it looks better than the print I saw in theaters.  I still wish that the theatrical version was included, since this is quite a long film, either that or put a forced intermission in it.

RACE - great fun from India.  A twisted, tangled, nearly noir film which not only keeps one on the edge of one's seat, but, keeps one guessing right up to the final moments.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1017456/

Earlier in the week, I re-watched (on DVD) THE TRIPLETS OF BELLEVILLE and Disney's HOME ON THE RANGE.
