Well, I've done my morning internet surf. I didn't see a lot going on this morning.

Thank you, DRs Jennifer and Ginny. I'm sure as the time for it gets closer, the butterflies are going to increase.

I guess I'll head down now and get showered and dressed for the rest of my day.

WBBL (but likely not before this evening when I get back from the MRI).

DR DAW, today is the birthday of my DEAR SISTER, but I'm wondering if you're following the custom of sending the birthday wishes to the person who did all the work!  I used to know someone who always celebrated her own birthday by sending flowers to her mother.

Umm...   Yeah.  That's it!       :)

Last night we watched AN AFFAIR TO REMEMBER, which neither of us had seen before.  While I liked it a lot, I couldn't help feeling that it could have been improved slightly by a little judicious editing.

My DH and I went for an early-morning walk to enjoy the cool August morning.

I don't think I have ever used those words together: "cool August morning." But this is such a weird summer that it was true.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And, actually, I've been up for a while, but spent a few hours just listening to NPR before I finally put my feet on the floor.

Yes.

And the weather has been unusual, too.

I am home sick today. No vibes needed, however. It is just a mild cold or allergies. My sister thinks something is pressing on my brain, but I am not really sure what she meant by that.

Umm... Didn't you just get another shipment of Bollywood movies at the end of last week?  Hmmm... ;)

bk - As for next week...

Since you're coming into NYC for work, why don't you tell us when would be good and not good for an HHW gathering.  We could plan something, but it could end up conflicting with one of your previously scheduled activities.

I'm also still working out my schedule for next week. Yes, my birthday is next week, but it turns out my cousin from Seattle will be back in town, and my brother, Jay, will be heading East next week too. So, it looks like I'll be down be back down in Virginia for a few days next week. I just don't which days those will be yet. -It will be the first time that all four Simbulan boys and all the grandchildren will be together since the Christmas of 2007.  Or as my mother would like to call it: Photo Op. ;)

I'll be working every day for about three or four hours - so any evening get-together would work just fine.

Now we know! ;)

No plans to see any shows? No other dinners planned with anyone? Is there one evening that would work better for you?  Any particular restaurant you want to dine at?

Just asking, not planning.

Today's laugh-o-rama department:  Just heard from the nurse.  I don't have a tear (thankfully), but do have some sort of "signficant trauma," which she described in terms I could not understand.  But then she said it was akin to "runner's knee" and said "this does happen quite a lot with athletes," implying I have athletic tendencies.  After I finished laughing, I thanked her.

OH! Sounds like your (foot) pedaling may be the culprit.  -I was dealing with some issues in my right leg a few years ago.  It turned out that my muscles were out of balance due to all the damper and patch-change pedaling I was doing.  Additionally, sitting on a bench with my knee at an "unnatural" angle for extended periods of time, also strained some things.  Stretch and bring your own chair to gigs (which I'm sure you already do).  In any case...

Did the nurse say you should come in for a follow-up visit?

You young MTV-educated whippersnappers are too impatient.

The story has to "unfold".....

The film is perfect....   ;)

Yes, the nurse informed me my condition was exacerbated by movement...and by sitting.  What else is there?  ;)
