As for the passing of Mary Travers...
One of my earliest musical memories is going through the stack of music books my parents had - mainly Time-Life and Reader's Digest collections - and coming across "Something To Sing About", which is a collection of tunes from the "Folk Era". -Clothbound, red cover. Not only was the sheet music included to selected songs, but there were also pictures and profiles of various artists. Peter, Paul and Mary were, of course, one of the featured artists. I believe they were also mentioned in the little introductory note before "Michael Row The Boat Ashore" in "The Reader's Digest Treasury of Best-Loved Songs of All Time". My parents also had their first self-titled album, and I will always associate "Blowin' in the Wind" with them - and Mary Travers' voice - rather than Bob Dylan.
