DR Sam $500 per month deposit for a pet doesn’t sound bad compared to what Craig is paying for his pets. Not only did he pay a pet deposit, he pays extra rent every month, a fact that was not shared with him until after he had settled on moving there.

Yes, Virginia, there is still customer service department: I'm sure all of you who cling to my every post remember I had a mammothly expensive plumbing job done here a few days ago. Well they called to follow up and I told them that I was basically satisfied, but on one of the things they did I had been quoted $200 and ended up paying over $400 for. Well lo and behold they called back a day later, told me I was absolutely correct and that they were issuing a $232 refund back to my credit card! The receipt came today, with an additional $25 coupon to use on any other services I need from them. So for just a moment of decent service and accountability they have won a customer forever!

I'm sure if MBarnum's brother was my Fed Ex Guy he would actually bring the package, instead of hanging the missed call notices on the Sunday School building while there is actually someone in the office.

The third notice came today. Yesterday the sender called them and directed them to deliver the package to my house, which they agreed to do. I have been waiting all day. The pastor was in the office today.

We go through this every time Fed Ex has a package for us. They have never delivered a package -- just the door tags. Even when someone is there. I always have to go pick it up.

I've been skimming through Mackenzie Phillips' new book. I am not mentioned. My friend Mike Lembeck is, as is his then-wife, Barbara Deutsch. I am not mentioned. Given the nature and frankness of the book, that is probably fine. Oh, and I am not mentioned. At least, not yet, although we are now way past the year in which I would have been mentioned. I know she remembers our very brief but very amusing time together (platonic - get your minds out of the gutter) because we talked about it twice at the Hollywood Collector's Show.
