Sounds like between writing notes and the dentist that MR BK's day is going well.

I just watched MODEL SHOP and 1969 American film by Jacques Demy that I didn't even know existed.  Mr Gary Lockwood was at his most handsome, especially next to Ms Anouk Aimee who is does not have typical Hollywood beauty - although she is certainly striking.

Interesting movie - I hope MR BK saw all of the LA locations in this film.

Hey everyone, it's me, The Vixter. I'm logging in and out so Mom can come back on, so I'll make this brief.
Topic-wise: Ew. That could be one of the most horrible things I've heard in a while. What is this country, no I'm sorry, world coming to? Thongs for toddlers, it won't be long until we have a society like A Brave New World going on here, with everyone whoreing themselves out like they are. Yeesh. What's next, women going topless in schools?

On another note, I have a quick favor to ask from you all, oh wise ones. I have to do a topic in musical theater where we come up with our theme song, and preform part of it for the class. It can be from any genre, from musicals to pop-culture. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of a song I could use for my theme? I will be very greatful to you guys if you can help me. I have to go now, my Mother is demanding her computer back.

                                                                                               Love, The Vixter

Back from some bacon and eggs and am doing more work right now and listening to my second try for a Brent sequence - I'm liking this one very much.

Thongs!  PTHewie!  Tongs, on the other hand, are just fine for beach wear . . .as long as they are on the feet.

BK - the song is supposed o be her own personal theme - a song that says something about the person that she is

Her first thought was the song that you wrote - I want to Sing on Broadway - but she felt that the teacher would prefer a song  that she (the teacher) was familiar with

It is a Musical theatre class so the Vixter was thinking that a song froma Musical would be the best bet - so far she hasn't found one that "feels right"

any songs out there about a girl who loves to sing , loves to read and is respectful of adults that's NOT from Beauty & the Beast?

Laura - I have to agrre with the oithers here - you certiaany are not stupid - and I am certain that yo are not ignorant either- I don't think that because you do not choose to read classic novels or watch movies that places you in the same category as someone who has managed to progress through the school system and avoid learning anything

I suspect that the names William Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, Jane Austen and Charlotte Bronte are not unknown to you even if you aren't particiularly interested in reading their works

Sing On Broadway would be fun, but I understand about the teacher being familiar with it - although, then again it might be fun for her to sing an original that no one knows.

we were very luck that the forecasters were wrong and the rain it did not rain

the wind it did blow however, so the unity candle ceremony was "pretend"

Vixdad was a groomsman, the Vixter sang One Hand, One Heart - (thanks JMK for the sheet music!!) and I read from 1 Corinthians 1 -13

Vixmom, I know it's more of an "I Want" song instead of an "I Am" song, but what about "Corner of the Sky" from Pippin?

Well the wedding is over - and she just has 3 more weeks of Soccer and 4 more weeks of play rehearsal (they are putting on Stage Door)

So she will proabably be free to do some non- homework reading by mid Novemebr - I on the other hand have already read it and have been mentally composing my review

I should be ready to put in into print shortly

and yes - I liked it very much!!

How about Cy Coleman's "You There in the Back Row (Watch Me While I Sing My Song)" from Liz Callaway's album?

I am very excited about this upcoming cast album (never before on CD) that BK is going to hopefully release.  I never ever thought I would have the chance to own the Chinese National cast recording of ZOBRA!  I can't wait!!!

I am back from a lovely dinner with DR Ben, who's now watching Act One of FINIAN'S RAINBOW. I stopped backstage to see everyone and headed home. I have to be up at 6:30 tomorrow morning so I will be heading to bed very soon.

I may have to score a new finale, although I very much like the one we currently have. There's been some feeling from a producer that it's too large an ending, and I suspect he dislikes the harmonies on the final chords. So, I'm on alert.
