Back from various and sundried errands to find that the Kritzerland site is completely down. Unfortunately, the site is hosted by Mark Bakalor, who I've been e-mailing for days to no response (regarding other matters), and I just left a message on his voice mail but have no way of knowing how long he'll be in getting back to me. Needless to say, this is a disaster of the highest order when I'm in the midst of two new releases.

Before I left on my Friday errands, I watched last night's rerun of THE MENTALIST. This was one of my favorite episodes of the first season, and it was just a joy seeing it again.

(I have not yet bought the DVD set for THE MENTALIST's first season. It was too expensive when it came out, and I'm waiting to get it if Deep Discount has a November sale. If they don't, I'll wait until I can get a reasonably priced copy. The price usually gets halved if one waits a year, and I can wait.)

While I ate my lunch, I watched last night's PROJECT RUNWAY. A very clear cut winner, I thought. No one else's design was in the same league, and I thought the second and third place finishers should have been reversed. The bottom three were the appropriate ones for the bottom, and the right person went home.

Then I watched the final two episodes of THE GUARDIAN. The show completely came off the rails in these last two episodes. The legal side of the series was almost totally set aside for EXTREME melodrama among all the regular characters. I found a lot of the behavior and reactions SO ridiculously unbelievable, especially from folks who are supposed to be GIFTED lawyers, that I just threw my hands up.

I know if I am offered the opportunity to review either the second or third season of the show, I will take a QUICK pass.

Heading back to the DVR, I began watching other things to get them cleared off the DVR. I began with last night's 30 ROCK. Kind of a disappointing episode. Tracy is such a tiresome character, and they give him WAY too much attention. Always love Will Arnett's deceitful character, but the plot surrounding him wasn't the greatest one either.

THE OFFICE had some hilarious activities going on last night. I wish they had milked the mallard joke a lot more (having it placed all over the office: the women's restroom, Creed's desk drawer, Michael's office. That was an inspired joke that just wasn't developed enough.

I am so angry right I can't even begin to tell you. Bakalor is MIA as always. You know he checks his cell every two minutes, too. I'm speaking to a hosting site right now trying to get everything moved away from Bakalor because I cannot deal with him anymore - he just doesn't care and is obviously too busy. But my webguy is working today and not at his home computer so nothing can get done until he's home at six-thirty, and then he's only got thirty minutes to deal with this until he goes out again until ten-thirty. So, no Kritzerland site until midnight tonight most likely. Once I purchase the hosting plan he then has to upload all our files and redo some stuff - luckily the host is there 24/7.

And I ended rewatching SUPERNATURAL which was the season premiere. ENjoyed some of Dean's jokes even more the second time around. This is the show which introduced Mark Pellegrino as Lucifer.

Yes, the site is back up, but I'm done with this crap and have just made the decision to have it hosted elsewhere with unlimited bandwith so we can grow as much as we care to as fast as we care to. The designer will be uploading all the folders at six-thirty to a different address so we can test it, then somewhere around midnight we'll do the switchover and it will be as if nothing had happened other than I will now have a hosting company that is available for tech support 24/7.

And now that I'm in this mode, I am going to move haineshisway.com to this new hosting place, too. That's a little more complicated and will take some time, but I hate our current hosting company and always have, they're way too expensive and I'm way too constricted in terms of traffic and bandwith and this constant having to archive posts and crap. I can get three years of unlimited space at this other place for what I pay for a year at our current host.

But this may require a lot of change, which will take some time because this site was designed and put together in 2001 and it's an ancient beast. The discussion board software won't change, but the main site most likely will get a total revamp as soon as I see how difficult it will be to transfer the humungous number of files and information over. It will be expensive, I'm sure, but it's something we have to do and I want the ability for video and a smoother running radio show with archiving possibilities for past shows.

What a day this has been? And it's not over, as I have a work session at five or five-thirty that I really don't want to do now. I just Fed Exed Brent the booklets to sign. The cost? For an overnight (regular, not morning) delivery for Monday in a Fex Ex envelope? $50! That's the last time I ever use Fed Ex and I would have stopped it and taken it to the post office (under $20 for overnight envelope) but he'd already rung it up and I just was so irked that I stormed out of there saying they'd just lost my business forever.

DR JRand59, I love the good wishes, but you're early; we open next Thursdsay, Oct 29. Tonight I'm staying in; I heard the new fix last night and I've got MEDIUM to watch.

No, I'm sorry. There are no go go dancers since the show seems to be set in its original 1940s period. We do have one dancer in the show who would be a good candidate for you, though.

It's escalated beyond dislike - I will never do business with them again - period. I may call a customer service rep to complain. First off, I recently sent a Fed Ex box standard overnight to Seattle that was ten bucks cheaper than this envelope was. I guess they now base it on WHERE it's going, too - it just never ends - fifty buck for something that used to cost $14.98 not that long ago and that could go anywhere in the United States.
