STRANGE THING DEPARTMENT:
I awoke Saturday morning with the mission of watching shows I'd missed that were in my DVR cache.
First thing I noted was that Friday's "Dollhouse" did not record despite having been scheduled to record. DRAT.
Then I noticed something VERY ODD. My cache was 92% full.
HUH? How could that be. I counted the shows I had recorded. Each was an hour-long show (save one) and each should have taken up 5% of my cache. I have movies saved that take up 23%, so I figured the six shows saved should have taken up another 30%....or, 53%. However, I recorded that LA Philharmonic concert on PBS last Thursday evening. It was, IIRC, two hours...possibly three. But at most, that should have been 15% of my DVR cache memory.
At a loss as to what had happened -- and facing the fact that I would not be watching the concert any time soon -- I deleted it.
And what do you think?
It was 50% of my cache!!!!!! The recorded programs went from 92% to 42%. ACK!
What the heck kind of signal were they transmitting do you suppose?
