I really enjoyed CASTLE which I watched while I ate lunch. Once we got all the suspects and identified the victim as being who he was, I figured out the murderer, but it was late in the show.

Then I watched the Blu-ray version of WINGS OF DESIRE. (That's right; the Fox Blu-ray of ICE AGE 3 did not arrive.)

The color portions looked very nice and solid, but after all that stunning black and white cinematography, it was hard for color to compete with that. It looked and sounded very nice in HD.

Then I watched today's ONE LIFE TO LIVE. Heartbreaking stuff with Fish and Kyle. How my heart broke for poor Oliver!

I skimmed through today's ATWT, but there was nothing of interest and nothing in the previews for tomorrow either.

Since there is nothing on TV for me tonight (with NCIS being a rerun), I plan to watch GREAT PUMPKIN on DVD upconverted, and then I'm going to watch A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE on Blu-ray which I just got today. Amazon recently reduced it, so I snapped it up. It's one of my favorite movies of the past few years.

TOD

Another performer who blew me away the two times I saw her--Lenora Nemetz.  She wowed me as a Velma replacement in the original CHICAGO and then later in WORKING.

Since I had more or less ingrained the OCR of Working in my brain throughout high school, I still remember the true thrill I had the first time I played an audition for her here in NYC.  -And her Mazeppa in the LuPone Gypsy was a wonder to behold.  -And I wish I had had the opportunity to see her go on for Ms. LuPone as Mama Rose.

After lunch, we stopped in Holy Trinity Church so Richard could check out the interior and I lit a candle for Michelle Nicastro. Then they and DR Jose loaded up their luggage and we went down to the street to find a taxi. We succeeded. They are on their way to LaGuardia and Jose is off to other places and good times.

Actually, as I crossed the street, I could hear some organ music, so I stepped back into Holy Trinity for a couple of minutes and listened to the organist practice. Good organist! -And, then, since the rain had  picked up again, I went ahead and headed back to my apartment. It's a good day to stay inside and clean and organize around the apartment.

Or surf the net and watch TV.

Well...

I just checked the flight status for their "new" flight, and, apparently, that one is now delayed.  I guess the weather between here and Dayton is causing the delay, as it seems that other flights are taking off from LaGuardia right now.

Guess I'll hop off-line now and work on the BD review of WINGS OF DESIRE. Then, it's back downstairs for some leisure viewing.

I just read on Facebook posted by HHW own Michele Nicastro that she is going to have brain surgery either today or tomorrow.   I ask for all those HHW vibes for Michele as she goes through this surgery

Speaking of the long musical, I have spent way too many hours dealing with the creative team's emergencies and problems - it just never ends because no one on the team is ever on the same page.  As for me, if they want or demand something be in the show they know my deal - they have to explain the logic of it, and if I buy the logic then we can talk about keeping whatever it is - if they can't, they have to figure something else out.  It's amazing how many times they cannot explain the logic.

I also had a huge number of packages to pack up and I've done nothing but that and telephonic calls all day and I'm overtired and I may have to go to Grant's to finally mix the new stuff for the demo (and re-record one track whose music has changed) - I'm actually hoping that can be tomorrow night or another night this week because I'm just exhausted.

Greetings from LGA!  Yes, we had a delightful lunch/visit with DRs Elmore and Jose and a zippy taxi ride out here to the airport.  Our 4:30pm flight to Dayton was cancelled and we're now booked on the 6:30, which may or may not be delayed until 7pm.

Richard paid for internet access and is letting me use his computer while he takes a walk.

I'm going into midtown to FINIAN'S RAINBOW. I'll pick up my signed CD from Kate Baldwin, give a CD to Rob Berman, see Terri about Sunday's ceremony, and ask Kathy, the company manager, about opening night tickets. I'll stay to watch the opening scene and see what the scenery now looks like, and head back home.

I think I shall watch a movie on DVD.  And I am not sure I want to start investing the time it will take to go through a season of SYTYCD without Billy Bell in the competition and no Mia Michaels routines to look forward to....although I do like Mandy Moore as well.

And Loudmouth Tyce D'Orio being on EVERY week is not plus for me either.

Last night, I saw BK's close and personal friend, "Stephen Sondheim and Frank Rich in Conversation" in Seattle!  I didn't get an autograph and my question was not answered, and this is the only picture that I was able to get:

BUT I LOVED IT!! ;D Also, before the "Conversation," I saw yesterday's Birthday Boy DR Jed and his very lovely wife, DR Ann in the lobby!  And I agree with Jed...I wish that they could've gone on for another hour, too!

Thanks, Jane, I did have a wonderful time!

George, is Mr. Sondheim urinating in the corner of the stage?

Why don't you write him and ask him, and see if he answers.  ;)

TOD:  The first show I ever saw on Broadway was the OBC of Pippin.  Magic to Do was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen on any stage, anywhere, maybe THE most amazing thing.

I wonder how much longer I will be able to continue biking outdoors.  For sure once the snow starts.  I don't mind it if it's cool out. But i don't like driving in wind.

Today wasn't bad although it felt cold. I think it was 9C (which is high 40s). yesterday it was 6C but not windy at all, so it actually felt warmer.

The best thing i got this year were earmuffs at the dollar store. They go behind your head so they don't interfere with the bike helmut!

We have snow on the mountains.  I hope it stays there.  It did rain a little and hail a little during our hike today.  It wasn't windy so I was comfortable.

Those ear muffs were a great investment, and at only a dollar I'm impressed.

So much to choose from. I will have to give it some deep thought today.

This is rather frightening!
