As for egg salad: It's all about the proper ratio of chopped, boiled eggs to mayo.  The mayo should really just bind all the ingredients together, not drown them.  -Although, some people do prefer a "wetter" egg salad.

*And it's always puzzled me whenever I order an egg salad sandwich - or tuna or chicken salad sandwich for that matter - and it's prepared with additional mayo on the bread.

I prefer it with extra mayo on the bread!

To each his/her own. :)

At Panera, they put mustard on the bread when they make a chicken or tuna salad sandwich  :P

And butter on ANY sandwich  :P :P :P

I think DR GINNY has the answer to what ails us.

DR DAW, many many people in canada where poppies on their lapels for Remembrance Day, which is today.

Poppies used to be "poppy-ular" here, too, but I haven't seen folks wear them for years. My dad always wore an artificial one on Veterans' Day.

Everyone in my family wore them in the 1950s. I haven't even seen one in years.

the vets still sell them here. I didn't go anywhere that they are usually sold (grocery stores, walmart etc) so I don't know if they were out there today, but I got on on Memorial Day

On my way home this afternoon, I had to wait in traffic for an ambulance to pass on its way to the hospital.  Wonder if my son was in it - not as the patient, but as an EMT-in-training.  It was about half an hour after his shift started with our local fire department.

Is Panera a British owned compant-referring to the butter on a sandwich.  I don;t get the extra mustard at all.

Sorry, DR Jane - my reference to butter on sandwiches was unrelated to Panera.  I'm not thinking too clearly tonight.

Nothing ruins a great egg salad sandwich like dried out bread.

DN David saw his cardiologist today and will be having more detailed tests on Tuesday.  He is apparently in a lot less pain today so that's a good thing

I'm so tired I didn't pay attention to the space between the sentences, as in a new thought.

My question for Ask BK Day is actually for DR Elmore.

Dear DR Elmore,
When you arrange a song, do you hear all the parts in your head at once? Or do you have to try them all out one at a time?

This morning was quite fun.  I got to go through the new office space with the painter again.  We made a few changes to our previous plan and I really can't wait to see it when it's done.  The carpenter has recovered from his flu and was there haning drywall in the waiting room area.
