Back from a two-mile jog, shipping packages, and picking up a couple of packages.  I'm now in for the rest of the day, and shall now eat some tuna pasta salad, and then go back to the editing road map.  I'm told I'll be able to hear the master for our next release either later tonight or, more likely, tomorrow.  As long as it can get to the plant by Friday, I'm jiggy.

Then I skimmed through today's OLTL and ATWT. No gay boys turned up on either show today (boo!) and no previews of them in tomorrow's ATWT either.

I think Kyle and Fish are back tomorrow

That's great news. I didn't get any review discs today, so tomorrow appears to be another day off. I can savor the show without feeling like I am desperate to find time to squeeze it into my schedule.

I'm so happy Jane is back - a day without Jane lacks sunshine and always has.

Guess I'll head down now and decorate a little bit and then watch one or two things for fun.

I'm back from visiting my family in Buffalo--and true to the city's reputation, there was a blanket of snow this morning.

Welcome back, DR Jane!

Kevin

our older son and his new wife spent thanksgiving in buffalo at her parents home.  they left saturday, stopping in michigian for the night at byan's friend's who married them.  before driving onto chicago sunday they had breakfast at zingerman's in ann arbor.  i now have 2 ginger-jump-ups from zingerman's. :)

Hey, Nursie! How are you feeling today?

well... i had a very rough night and a difficult morning.  i'm doing better now thanks.  poor keith is so exhausted he slept through my restlessness and quiet groans.  i keep telling him not to feel bad, i was glad not to disturb him and he needed his sleep soooo very much.  i would also have asked for a pain pill and messed up the new schedule i set for myself.  i would have been very unhappy had that happened.  i hope keith realizes he can lighten up a bit at night.  i keep promising i will wake him and not attempts movements on my own i should not be doing.

Just ate some tuna pasta salad and am watching the most extraordinary DVD - the 1954 Academy Awards presentation, complete.  I got it on eBay and it's just amazing to watch this - somehow in 1954 during what I believe is the show's first broadcast on TV, they knew how to do this 1000% better than the buffoons that do it today.  The longest acceptance speech thus far has run about fourteen seconds.  The Awards that year were split between ceremonies in LA and NY and it works really well.  LA host is Bob Hope, who is brilliant, and NY host is, surprisingly, Thelma Ritter, who is also wonderful.  And the STARS.  And the GLAMOUR.  And the outfits.  It puts today's circus of a show to shame.  They just did it - and because of it there's excitement in the air.  So far my favorite thing was the appearance of the amazing Muzzy Marcellino, whistling The High and the Mighty (Johnny Desmond does the song itself).

Seattle Police Kill Suspect In Officer Slayings.

This is good.

"Huckabee's Chances for President also Killed.  News at 11."

I don't really think that this will hurt Huckabee's chances.

After all, both the trial judge and the parole board signed off on the commutation.

But, I do think it's good that they got the guy.

DR Jane - How is Sherlock doing? Has Keith been taking him out for his daily walks?

keith is walking sherlock right now.  sherlock has been very upset throughout this.  on the trail he kept lying down in front of me and nuzzling my head.  later he was left in the car while i was taken into a building never to return.  keith would take sherlock to the building everyday and again leave sherlock in the car, agitating sherlock more.  keith found sherlock was better if they went in keith's car instead of mine.  keith could spend more time visiting me if he could take breaks to walk sherlock.

wow, that took a lot of effort to write all those short choppy sentences-lol

Well, red is the color for World AIDS Day...

*As happy as I am for winning tickets to see A Steady Rain tonight from Broadway.com via Twitter, I'm a little sad that I'll miss the dimming of the marquees tonight at 8:00pm in commemoration of World AIDS Day (since the show starts at 7:00 tonight).

Btw, if any other DRs in or near NYC want to see A Steady Rain tomorrow afternoon - and maybe even tomorrow night, Broadway.com is still giving away pairs of tickets right now via their Twitter account.

*They've also been giving away tickets to Billy Elliot and Wicked too.
