Back from all manner of errands and whatnot. Went to the tape transfer place, had some bacon and eggs and picked up a package that contained customs forms - and guess what? They've done it again - brand new forms consisting of FOUR pages. You write on the first one and it's supposed to go through the other four. Which means we can no longer stamp our name and address on what used to be a one-page form. I've been screaming at people for the last thirty minutes. First of all, I called the USPS and they STILL say that we don't have to put ANY customs form on ANY package under sixteen ounces. So I called the local post office and told them who I talked to and what they said and this cretin tells me that the USPS supervisors don't know what's going on, and that the computer is telling them we must use the forms. I told him to get in the ring with his own people and duke it out because I now had a person's name (a supervisor) and instructions NOT to do so. He actually threatened that the packages would all be returned. Now, I have never had an overseas package returned to me, so I don't know that I believe him. Then he told me we could continue using the one-page forms until they themselves run out of them and stop giving them to us - as a matter of fact, they haven't even received the new version yet. Someone could launch a class action lawsuit and win easily - maybe that should be me.
