my wake and garage sale

How efficient!          :P

I think it will be great!

Jack, I'm a bit confused. Is this wake and garage sale a combined event?
Is such a thing a Midwest custom?  ;)

Thank you, BK, for the surprise package. I haven't opened it yet. I am going to wait until Christmas and be surprised.

I am surprised and delighted that the packages got everywhere so quickly.  I haven't sent Jennifer in Canada yet because I can't use a flat rate priority envelope and have to get some other sort of envelope to ship it in - hoping they have something at the post office when I'm there on Wednesday.

The photo can't capture how beautiful the river was this morning. The willow trees are yellow, the air was clear after the rain, and the mountains were pretty in the background.

Well, I just posted and the site didn't act funny or even dramatic.

And others seem to be posting without an acting-funny site.

Speaking of family, I sent my brothers an email about the property over a week ago and neither one of them has responded.  I cannot believe that bitch Lady M didn't see it, so I am not certain what's with the silence.

Too bad you can't make them buy you out of your share NOW, based on what they think (or expect) that they will eventually be able to get for it. :-\

And on another unpleasant front, around 5:15 I called to leave a THIRD message for my doctor. I was put on hold and then told she wants me to make an appointment. So, on Wednesday at 11:15 I have to go in, all for a damned prescription. She's so far on the shitlist, I doubt she'll ever get off it.

I find this very annoying and am sorry for you, Larry. IMO, there is so much that needs to change about the practice of health care and this sort of thing is one of them. I hope things improve for you.

I love the way Kevin H. jumped right in and became part of the family so fast!

Yes, and, by the way, where is Miss Karen? Has she given DR KevinH his toaster and taken an order for his robe?

(That's a HHW joke, Kevin.)

That happens to me occasionally - it's not the site, though.

In other words, that same thing happens to me on other sites - I think computers just spazz out occasionally.

We went to a marvelous old-fashioned afternoon wedding:

Disney Married Pixar!

"The Princess And the Frog"

Ron Clements : Writer, Director (Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Hercules)

John Lassester: Producer (Finding Nemo, WALL-E, Up!)

And the grand star of the afternoon: Randy Newman! Great score, great songs! I'd guess two Oscar nominatied songs.

This film has the best of Pixar and Disney combined.

der Brucer

Ron Clements is a Sioux City native.

Underpants.  And just where IS dear reader Sandra?  You can tell her for me I will NOT marry her if she's gone this much.

I think I'm back now, finally am firmly online and have Norton up and running again.  I have never been hit by a virus like this.  It was completely nasty.  It shut down all internet access (so that Norton couldn't check its database for the virus), wouldn't let me email, but kept bringing up a webpage for ANOTHER anti-virus program which it said it would solve my problems.  Every 3 seconds or so I'd get a nasty error message with a loud electronic clunk noise, and then, just for variety, it occasionally brought up a Viagra ad and for extra charm, a site called Porno.com, I believe.  It was horrible.  I had to System Restore, which I've never had to do before with any version of Windows I've had.

Wow, that really sounds nasty! Glad to hear it's better now.

I feel we'll be to page nine in no time at all - oh, a Stephen Schwartz reference.
