Back from another predictably grand lunch at Musso and Frank.  Had the combo louis but wasn't my usual hog self with the dressing.  I split evenly between cocktail sauce and dressing, so I feel good.

Congrats!

Yikes.
That literally happened just a block away from DR elmore's apartment. :-\
Is this a Portland copy-cat murder?

der Brucer

Um, it would only be a copy-cat murder if it happened in Delaware.

Seriously... Why?!?!?!?

I believe that is a reference to the fact that our neighbor was murdered two weeks ago.  WTF does Delaware have to do with it?   ???

BK, does the potential Chapter 11 of Image affect your BD plans for TFNM?

the potential Chapter 11 of Image

Why does this always happen to the good companies - the ones that put out half-way interesting stuff?        :(

Sorry... That was sort of stream of consciousness response. So...

-I knew that DR DERBRUCER was referring to the recent murder of your neighbor.
-I just didn't think that murder - copy-cat or otherwise - was something to joke about.
-DR DERBRUCER lives in Delaware.

That is all.

Back from Kroger - they'd found the unbagged batteries just after I left and had them set aside for me.

Otherwise, my shopping trip there earlier was delightful.  I visited with 3 friends who were also shopping and found a Starbucks double-wall insulated cold drink tumbler with a lid and candy cane straw.  They are becoming quite scarce and that's what I wanted to buy with the gift card that my sister sent me for my birthday.

Some casting news has just been made official:

Katie Finneran, Tony Goldwyn and Brooks Ashmanskas Will Star in Promises, Promises

And...

Stanley Tucci to Direct Anthony LaPaglia, Tony Shalhoub, Jan Maxwell and More in Lend Me a Tenor Broadway Revival

*Another "Monk" alum, Brooke Adams, will also be appearing Tenor.

Brooke Adams = Mrs. Tony Shalhoub.

Shoot...I was really hoping that one day MBarnum =Tony Shalhoub.

And that's how many husbands, Miss Taylor?

"Poor Larry" has returned from a West Side jaunt, and i was nowhere near Amsterdam so I missed it all Thank you for the phone call, DR Jose. From your message, I thought it was another street shooting like the one in midtown last week. This was inside an apartment and it was not the corner of 82nd and Amsterdam where I live, DR Ginny; the apartment is at 492 Broadway, which is up another block between 83rd and 84th.

Here's the Google map
http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl

The jerk killer left the apartment through a window and fell 3 floors to his death. I guess the fire escape there is worse than DR Miss Taylor's.

Although, according to the DR MBarnum's response, it looks like he "literally" wants to be "Mr. Brooke Adams". ;)

I've never had a problem with Regis with Kelly Ripa, so why do his coy simpering commercials for TD Bank make me want to pick up a bat and remove the top of his cranium?

TOD

Bent
Even with the additions to the script that I am sure were NOT granted permission by Martin Sherman. I thought that they were wrong and would have complained to the author if I knew how to contact him.

Actually, Michael, you should probably have complained to to the publishing company that handles that show (Samuel French?).  That information must be listed on all posters and programs.  Of course, if the production is now closed, all they could do is send a letter of complaint to the theater company.

JMK, I think Image has been in impending bankruptcy for years.  I'm going to talk to them - if they can't do it, I have no doubt there are others who can - or I can just put it out on Kritzerland, which would probably be the best scenario, although distribution would be difficult.

Phoenix Theater's Les Miserables and Curtains come to mind.

Laura, have you ever seen any of the shows at the Arizona Broadway Theatre?

I did something really stupid - when I came home earlier I noticed that for some reason my parking lights were on, so I turned the knob and shut them off - only I turned the knob the wrong way and, in fact, turned ON my headlights.  About forty minutes later someone knocked on my door and told me the lights were on.  I knew I was in trouble when my electronic lock opener wouldn't open the car - sure enough, forty minutes later, dead battery.  Happily, the Auto Club was here in ten minutes, charged it, I took a twenty minute drive and all seems to be well.  They now have these nifty portable battery jumpers - I think it's just one cable and I may go purchase one and keep it in the trunk.
