And speaking of birthdays...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY NIECE, ALEXANDRA!!!!

She's hit the big 1-1!!!

*And I still remember not being able to see her right after she was born.  There was a huge ice storm in Virginia 11 years ago, and Steve and I got snowed and iced in.  However, we were able to make it up to Georgetown Hospital the following day... A True Christmas Gift.

I have accomplished all of my goals in moving here, except being rich, and it was a nice Christmas present to realize that.

this warms my heart.  it is the best christmas gift you can give yourself or those who love you.

DR Cillaliz - Thank You for the Snow Angel. I would attempt one here in the front yard of my parents' house, but the snow is now covered in a sheet of ice, and no one likes a shattered angel.

lol, we wouldn't want a shattered jose angel.

Good morning, good day, how are you this beautiful day.  I am up, the sky is blue and I have chopping to do.  Chopping To Do - isn't that a Stephen Schwartz song?

Vibes for Bosco, MB.

One of my toughest Christmases was 1969.  We had to put our family dog down with whom I had grown up on December 26 that year.  We knew it was coming all through Christmas, it was really horrible.  My sister took me to Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid that night to help me cheer up, but I just cried and cried.

She told me in an email she was and I thought she mentioned it to you online yesterday.

OH!

And my streak of Twitter-Luck seems to continue...

Zagat was running a special contest for their NYC-based Followers.  They started a new ad campaign, and whoever took the most pictures of their news ads around town and posted them to Twitter would win.  Well, I won!  And it's quite a nice prize: a 1-year subscription to Zagat.com and a $200 VISA gift card!  Merry Christmas to me! ;)

*I'm actually wondering just who else entered.  I did a search on Twitter for entries/entrants and only came up with two other people.  -And those two people were the two runners-up.  -And one of them actually took pictures of various restaurant's Zagat ratings window cards, not their new ads.

I just bought a game for Rose (Anthony's mother) and installed it on the computer. After all the packages are opened I will bring her in to the computer and turn it on and show her. It was an on-line purchase so there was no going outside or wrapping a box. Since she doesn't use the computer while we are here it will be a surprise to her.

DR Jose:  Yes, I do have my camera.  I have taken "some" pix, but not many yet.  Mostly, they're of the same things in the same places...flowers on graves, etc., Christmas tree, shots of the pond behind the house.

The first get-together is tonight, so I'll snap a few shots there.  I may not put them up until I review them after my return to California.

Uh Oh - Lucy Ricardo just bought a dress at Don Loper's Salon and it's $400 more than Ricky gave her to spend.

Alert the media:

I have been informed our dinner tonight will not consist of hamburger steaks after all.

The menu has been changed to barbecued chicken.  I don't know if that impacts the baked potatoes and seven-layer salad or not.  I suspect it will and that we will have mashed potatoes-and gravy and-corn.

Some things are predictably predictable.
