I think after tomorrow, my stress level will go down considerably.  There will be little things to do to get settled, but if we can get moved in and get the phone and computer working I wil be most pleased

Hmmm... Newark Airport (EWR) is on lockdown right now after "after man walked through the wrong side of a checkpoint exit".

-Let's just hope that it's that "simple" and "harmless" a reason.

Isn't there always a TSA guy at the exit to stop people from walking in the wrong way? How come he didn't stop him?

From CNNhttp://www.cnn.com/2010/US/01/03/new.jersey.airport.breach/index.html

Quote
CNN) -- A terminal at the Newark, New Jersey, airport was closed Sunday night after a man walked through the wrong side of a checkpoint exit, the Transportation Security Administration said.

Police are seeking the individual, who walked from the public side to the sterile side, said TSA spokeswoman Anne Davis. No flights were allowed to leave from Terminal C Sunday evening, she said.

Authorities are reviewing video from airport cameras. They are not sure whether the man was once on the sterile side and went back, or if he never went through screening, Davis said.

Other travelers who had reached the sterile area after going through checkpoints are being moved back to the public area to be re-screened, she said.

The incident caused arrival delays and mainly affected Continental Airlines, which is the airport's largest tenant.

Newark Liberty International Airport, which is located about 15 miles from Manhattan, is the second-largest hub for Continental.

The airport handles roughly 35 million passengers a year.

CNN's Susan Candiotti and Ross Levitt contributed to this report.

Probably a Minority Opinion but I thought AVATAR was just OK. It's a beautiful film,no doubt,but the beauty became boring. It had alot of action but the action eventually became boring, And The Movie is way too long. There aren't too many Movies that I can say this about-but I don't think I could ever see this movie a second time.

Thank you for the movie report.  i've read similar complaints that it is too long.

i believe we are in the minority with our opinion of "500 days of summer"  after all the hype we were very disappointed.  we love charming quirky films and felt, for the most part, this missed the boat.

We just finished watching 500 DAYS OF SUMMER.  We enjoyed it.  It was different, not quite what we expected.

When Clark Gregg read the "Roses are red" greeting card, I must admit that I laughed so hard that we had to pause the movie for 5 minutes.

What can I say?

hmm, i must have slept through that.  email me what it said.  i did love the bit at the end of the movie,

It was XXX rated.

From the previews it sounds like there were nominations from friends etc. for worst cook.  The idea is they turn the worst cooks into the best cooks.

Bummer...     :(

After switching out my DVR/cable box last week and getting it all plugged in and re-connected, I started going through some of my favorite channels. ABC - check! NBC - check! CBS - check! Fox - check! Travel Channel - check! TLC - check! Food Network... "If you would like to receive this channel, please call..."

Hmm...

So, I started clicking through all the other channels, and, the Food Network was the only channel that was not coming through!?!? -I really thought it was some sort of sick joke. ;)  Thankfully, after placing a call to Time-Warner's customer service, they were able to restore FoodTV on my system.

Whew!

Good morning, all! I was up at 7:15 because I have a lot of work to accomplish today and I have to be out and about around 11:30. I need to be at Toyland around noon to return some books, and bring a few back, for my LADY OF THE SLIPPER bibliography. I've also got to begin a biliography for Russell Warner's edition of OH BOY!
This show is forcing me to make a trip to the Amherst College Library at some point in January or February, much as I'd like to put it off until April or May, and I need to figure out how to get there!

So, that's my day. It was wonderful to see the beautiful slender vixmom and the lovely Vixter yesterday, and what a treat to see Greg and DR edisaurus two days in a row! I'm glad they got to see RAGTIME, although I was really hoping for a return to Finian so Greg could see it!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Presentation Vibes for DR edisaurus and Greg Today! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sorry we didn't go, DR Elmore. I have to say it's my fault; I have always wanted to see Ragtime on Broadway and it looked like it was my only chance. Greg and I both love the movie and I'm a fan of the book (I used a lot of the film score in the temp track for my current film) and it amazed us both how the last 3 films I'd done all seem to have themes similar to RAGTIME...immigration, racism, anarchism, worker's rights. Since the producer we're working with thinks that these themes in our film are boring, it was nice to see a theatre full of people responding to them. I only wish the producer could have been there. Oh well...
Thanks for the screening vibes! We had a good crowd; a British playwright/screenwriter, a psychiatrist, Ken Burns' longtime producer, Lynn Novick, and another documentary maker and a few spouses, plus the writer and his wife, the producer and his wife, and my partner Peter and myself. We got a lot of good comment and slashed thru the first half of the script. We'll try to get thru the rest tomorrow morning. I think I will need a drink at dinner....
