My favorite King adaptation is also THE DEAD ZONE.

I even liked the TV series for awhile.

On the other hand, I've never liked THE SHINING.

I liked the TV version better than the Kubrick movie.

Probably a Minority Opinion but I thought AVATAR was just OK. It's a beautiful film,no doubt,but the beauty became boring. It had alot of action but the action eventually became boring, And The Movie is way too long. There aren't too many Movies that I can say this about-but I don't think I could ever see this movie a second time.

Thank you for the movie report.  i've read similar complaints that it is too long.

i believe we are in the minority with our opinion of "500 days of summer"  after all the hype we were very disappointed.  we love charming quirky films and felt, for the most part, this missed the boat.

I think you will be in the minority. It wouldn't surprise me a bit for this to get a Best Picture nomination. I think it deserves it.

There were by number a lot of bonus features on the GLEE final disc, but in actual minute count, they were mostly very short indeed. I did enjoy one 12-minute look behind the scenes at casting where we see the actual auditions of Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, and Chris Colfer.

But much of the content of the others didn't amount to much at all. Disappointed.

So I'm taking care of this Persian cat and wondering how one could survive in the wild with such a teeny little mouth!

I watched two NCIS episodes from last season's box set. In the first, Ducky gets stabbed in the hand by an angry foreigner who seemed to know him. Good episode.

The other one had a Navy captain blugeoned to death and then eviscerated. I have seen the episode several times before, but I honestly didn't remember who the murderer was until very late in the show, just as if I had never watched it before and was trying to figure out the guilty party's identity.

Next I remembered that I hadn't finished THE BAND WAGON which I had started watching several nights ago before I started on the GLEE box set. I went ahead and finished it from "Triplets" to the end of the movie.

Then I watched the making of documentary on THE BAND WAGON which was on the second disc in the set. A little sad knowing that Comden and Green are now gone. Is James Mitchell still with us? Michael Kidd is gone, I know, as is Cyd Charisse.

Then I started watching THE MEN WHO MADE THE MOVIES - VINCENTE MINNELLI. I saw it when it was originally broadcast and maybe only one other time since then. So great seeing that MADAME BOVARY clip with the great waltz sequence, one of Minnelli's most masterful achievements.

I didn't finish the documentary. I'll see if I have the time to finish it tomorrow.
