Traveling music for DR JOSE.

I found Hoosier Monkey today when I started my exercise routine.  His photo will be posted sooner or later.

I'm up, and have answered e-mails and such.  I had one e-mail from a man in Germany who'd ordered The Children's Hour and wanted to know why he hadn't received it yet.  I responded and said that a) it wasn't even scheduled to ship until this week, but that all copies had gone out three weeks early, around the 15th of December, b) his copy WAS shipped but that we have no control over either the USPS or the postal service in Germany, and c) it hadn't been THAT long and to please give it another few days - if it hasn't arrived by then I'd send out another copy.  Then I see that he's opened a dispute with paypal - that's right, without even having the bloody courtesy to wait for a response to his e-mail, he opens a dispute, which means paypal removes that money from my account until it's resolved - and they are not quick to put this money back, I have to tell you.  So, I responded via paypal, as well, and I can tell you it was a rather strong response.  I told him that unless he removed the dispute immediately that I would never accept another order from him, and that if the CD were lost I would refund his money rather than send him a replacement, which means he would not get the CD since it's sold out pretty much everywhere.  People are so damn stupid and impatient it just boggles my mind.

Very strange DR DtM - and some management person prolly got a bonus for figuring out how to do that.

I don't doubt that he did, DR JRand.

I love sushi and sashimi. For sushi I recommend the Unagi.

That is my favorite! Second on my list is the flying fish roe (don't remember the Japanese name for it). It is sweet and tasty and does not have the fishy flavor one would associate with fish roe. My little niece Taylor loved it, and she was only 5 years old when she tried it.

The salmon one is also quite tasty. In fact I have only had one type of sushi that I did not like, and I don't recall what it was was.

Wow, I just heard what it will cost if I go to a two CD set on our new title AND up the cost and the number of CDs.  It makes the decision VERY difficult as it's almost three times the normal license fee.  Yes, we'd make more money ultimately (if they were to all sell) but it's not that much more, and I'd be nervous about selling all 1500 copies - we barely got there on Stranger/Tamiko, which was really surprising.  This is a much more popular film and the original film tracks have never been available before, so there's that, but I think I have to try and get that fee down or figure out a different way to do it.

Ugh--the tomatoes on my sandwich were obviously frozen and thawed.  And this iceburg lettuce sucks!

I am so spoiled by eating good decent quality food the past month...

I love Roxie and her malaprops on ONE LIFE TO LIFE; she just told Kyle and Fish that Dorian Lord humidified Beau Buchanan at her inauguration party. And adding to the hilarity, Tuc Watkins is coming back.

Nothing for me on TV tonight, but there are some shows that are having new episodes, and, of course, the new season of THE BACHELOR begins, too.

And a 2 hour HEROES.

Re THE CD DECISION.....remember what your horoscope for 2010 said:

There will be new challenges to your money supply and how you handle your money, and yet you'll also have new opportunities to correct problems in your material life, and maybe even prosper more than you ever have before.
The hard work that you've sometimes had to put in during the last two years is going to start paying off for you. And for some of you, the rewards will be enormous.

I don't know if today's THE VIEW is a repeat, but it's very funny.

I think they are reshowing the ALL MY CHILDREN repeat from a few weeks/months ago.

How do you feel about green eggs and ham?

I had time to watch last night's BROTHERS & SISTERS before leaving for lunch. EPisode had me in tears a couple of times; nicely done even if much of it felt like a treading water episode. Next week's looks to be meatier.

She is one of the most cherished characters ever, and she's always a pleasure to watch. I loved today's episode, just for the brief pillow talk between Kyle and Oliver at the first, and then the deepening friendhsip between Kyle and Roxie. It's wonderful to have a friend like that. I don't know what I'd do without my best friend John in my life.

When I got in from lunch, I got my work project out of the way: THE MARINE 2 on DVD. The sound was great for Dolby Digital 5.1, but the picture looked overly processed and there were artifacts. Color kept going from fully saturated to slightly desaturated and back. Wonder if they filmed part of this with an HD camera and part with film stock? Some parts were grainier than others. I didn't notice this on the Blu-ray, but it seemed very noticeable on standard DVD.

I just did a spot check on the bonus features. All of them are there that were also on the Blu-ray.

I finished my afternoon viewing by skimming through ONE LIFE TO LIVE. Watched any scene that had FIsh or Kyle in it. Glad to see that the two of them will be taking part in stories other than their own.

A few nice things waited for me in the office this morning: a cute and funny Christmas card from DR George and a beautiful calendar and card from DR Tomovoz.

I'm glad you got the card...sorry that you didn't get it until now. :-\

Going to work a bit now on the review for today's work project. Then I can head down and have an evening of leisure viewing.

I got the replacement disc for THE SHOW OF SHOWS from Warner Archives today. I hope it's the proper length now and not missing half of the film. SOmeone at my worksite got his replacement copy, and it was the same 64 minute version as the previous one had been. I'm almost dreading finding out.
