The bus and the bus driver made great time up 95, and I don't even think he was speeding. That much.
The bus (company) I took back up to NYC was different than the one I used to take down to Richmond this time. However, this bus company's "station" is just about a mile from my parents' house. They used to have a stop in the parking lot of a Family Dollar store on West Broad Street - which is a little more than a mile from my parents' house. I called my friend, Mike, who takes the Chinatown busses regularly between Richmond and DC and/or New York City, and he said that this company had moved their "office" out by my parents' house about two weeks ago. It will be interesting to see if they lose any business being located off the main drag, so to speak. However, their new location has a proper parking lot, and I'm guessing if people wanted to park their cars there for a few days at a time, that could work. There's also a bunch of places to grab a bite to eat there around there too, including a 24-hour Wal-Mart. Anyhoo...
It's nice to be home.
