In the time that I had left, I went ahead and watched both episodes of CHUCK from last night.

The things about CHUCK that I always liked are still present, but the things about CHUCK that irritate the crap out of me are ALSO still present. The supposed 2.0-intersect Chuck really isn't any different except for the karate/fight moves and other spy skills. But he's still a bungling, no common sense spy-trainee (the idea of pausing in mid-mission to want to talk about "feelings!" I almost turned the set off right then and there.

This on again/off again relationship is really tired, and I'm afraid it's going to drive me away from the show. I also am VERY tired of the Buy More side of the story. Those nerdy clerks are meant to be funny and add some diversion from the mission, but I find that their antics dissipate any momentum the spy stories generate, and I used my fast forward almost every time they were on camera.

I understand that tonight's episode is completely without the Buy More people, so I'm willing to watch it at some point this week. But if Chuck is still moping around about Sarah and almost ruins missions because he wants to talk instead of DO HIS JOB, I'm going to check out of the show.

Monday morning greetings!  Today is the day my Mom signs on the dotted line for her new apartment.  She'll get the keys and we'll check it out and maybe take a few things over, depending on how she feels.  Tomorrow's the big moving day (unless it snows).

Ginny, congrats on your mom's Dotted Line Signage and Her Big Move!!

And now, it's time for me to leave and go home.  I have a lot of TV to watch tonight and since i'll be watching four, count 'em FOUR channels, I've got some channel juggling to do!

Until later!

I am going to do a little writing and then head down, do a last little jaunt on the treadmill, and then go to bed.

Good night!

Good evening all. Busy day.  I woke up not feeling too hot, I think it was all the moving books, hacking at ice and digging out the snow.  anyway, had a good day - looked at designs for my new logo.  Edith went with me and it was really fun.  I never considered doing something like that before, but I knew exactly what I wanted and it's looking good. They will be working on laying it out on business careds, letterhead and for the door of my office.

Can't wait!

The Jonathan Reid Gealt concert went really well tonight. I don't know how large the crowd was but I would guess over 100 were there. The roster of singers was excellent and the band was quite solid. I've met a wonderful new drummer and keyboard man, and I knew Kirk the bass player and Summer, our cellist, subbed on FINIAN'S RAINBOW. She's quite amazing. It was great to see the wonderful Lauren Kennedy again; she was the only singer I knew. Everyone else was a friend, colleague, or former Boston Conservatory classmate of Jonathan and they were all quite good.

I particularly liked Bridie Carroll and Kasey Marino, and i want to find projects to involve them. After hearing Bridie, I told her that if Steve Sondheim had heard her in 1970, he would have written "Another Hundred People" for her.  She's funny with a great range, and Kasey is the perfect juvenile baritone.

Holy moly on Rye!!  I just looked out my window and saw something that looked a little strange on the gournd within about 2 feet of my house....all of a sudden he lifted his head..it was an 8 point buck!   He had been curled up under the empty bird feeder.    I knew there were three does that have been sleeping under my big pine tree, but this is the first time I've seen the buck.

Dear Jane, thank you for the moving vibes.

Vibes back to you  ;D.  (for all the posts I missed by being errant and truant).

I am looking forward to the 2 hrs of reading time on the rail commute.

Lots of books are on the shelves waiting to be opened.

The bad news is that Joshie lost his Iphone last night in the taxi, and he's very unhappy about it. Jonathan gave us a really wonderful acknowledgement at half time. It was also great to see in the crowd afterwards Bill Russell and his partner Bruce Bossard, whom I have not seen in 25 years. They looked great and it was wonderful to see them

I would watch the movie The Trip again.   I like all those weird movies.  Last night I watched Earth Girls Are Easy.  Filmed right here in Studio City at Ventura and Laurel Canyon when there was still a car wash.

One of my best friends from high school and college has been back in the area for the last several weeks visiting his father.  Saturday, since the weather was nice, he wanted to see my banner hanging on the side of the hospital.

So...............................

Nice, Tom.

SHAMELESS SHILLING AND BEGGING IN THIS POST

If anyone has time to contribute to the all-important "times-viewed," I put the audio of three non-parody numbers from the show I'm working on on YouTube.  So you don't actually have to watch, it's like radio -  just put each one on in the background and leave them on to the end of each one, and it'll count as a view :)   Positive comments are as always appreciated.

These were really fun, Fred. And I LOVE A BRAND NEW MARY!!
