Around ten-thirty this morning the rains came back in force and it kept up until about fifteen minutes ago - now the sky is clear with some white clouds.  I hear we may have the weekend sans rain but then we're supposedly getting another storm.

I've written about twelve pages today, and will probably do just a couple more later.  Muse Margaret is getting a lot of pages this Sunday - close to 100.

Holy cow. Yet another storm is hitting us. After a day of gray, the winds are picking up and it's raining again.

Jose, that is so great that you have really been taking advantage of the specially priced Atrium tickets.  I admire your being able to get there so early and do that.  Wish I could!  Tonight's opera should be especially interesting. Enjoy!

I found this on the internet:

8:25 Shakira joins the proceedings to sing the Pretenders' "I'll Stand By You," a fitting torch song for the people of Haiti.

We are back from Lauren's 21st birthday party, which was at a casual, fun place in Franklin, OH.  Saw lots of family under happier circumstances than when we were together last.

i had a very good day.  the morning was beautiful thanks to a gentle snowfall last night.  the sun melted the snow in time for my PT session which went extremely well with less pain :)  after returning home i walked for an hour.

if only i could get some much needed sleep tonight.  since nov 23rd i have only had a couple of decent nights of sleep & the last 2 nights were pretty bad.

thank you laura & ginny.  i'm just so darn uncomfortable at night i have trouble sleeping.

today the therapist was able to do a movement to relax my arm (said movement would have hurt before) and FINALLY manage a stretch i have been failing at.  usually the stretch is extremely painful, today it was tolerable, plus i succeeded :)

'night

SPOILER!

Last night's Project Runway has me STUMPED!  I'm stumped, I tell you.  Stumped.

If anyone in his or her right mind can explain why Peng was allowed to stay and Pamelo was sent packing, then you're a better man (woman) than I am, Charlie Brown.

To borrow another designer's term for it, that "ass flap" should have been the final straw for Peng.

End SPOILER

I could not agree with you more! That was THE MOST hideous thing I've seen come down the runway in many seasons, and not only did she not lose, she didn't even finish next-to-last. The judges have lost their minds, but I am SURE that because they liked what she did last week (I didn't), they gave her this one total botch job.

I'll have more to say in a minute.

When I finally got back into the home theater, I began with last night's BURN NOTICE. A very enjoyable episode with a fun case-of-the-week, and another of the half season long stories that will inch its way to conclusion by season's end.

The heavily trumpeted reunion of Tyne Daly and Sharon Gless couldn't have been more anticlimactic. ANY DECENT ACTRESS could have played Ms. Daly's role as well as she did; it was not that much of a guest star part (which might be why she wasn't granted "special guest star" status).

Next I watched last night's 30 ROCK. One of the show's lesser episodes, I thought, though it was nice to see CHeyenne there even with not much to do.

Next up was PROJECT RUNWAY. I was flabbergasted by some of the beautiful and creative dresses that were produced for this challenge. This seems to be one of the strongest and most fashionable groups they've had in a long time. I saw three or four dresses in the safe group that I would have stacked up against the winner (which was also lovely).

I've already said most of the negative for the week in the previous message. I was certain that the next-to-last place finisher was going home. I'm glad this designer will have another week to show us something special.

Next I watched last night's SUPERNATURAL. A creepy episode set in a mental hospital with some really disturbing things going on and a new monster that was really a bit scary. Had me jumping in my chair a couple of times.

I did miss my Castiel, however.

I still have CHUCK and THE OFFICE on the DVR and it's recording SPARTACUS right now. I'll be watching it tomorrow while I eat lunch, and since I'm taking the day off, I should be able to fit in CHUCK, too.

DR MATTH - although a lot of my Phyllis Coates info - and MUCH more - was included in Gary Grossman's great book SUPERMAN FROM SERIAL TO CEREAL.....the new book FLIGHTS OF FANTASY by Michael J. Hayde is the final word on the SUPERMAN on radio and television.

He also uncovered many stories and filming details.....it is a fascinating book.

Took the recyle bin out for the garbage trucks tomorrow morning, and it was REALLY cold. Bone-chilling cold. No wonder I've been hearing my heat click on constantly during the evening.

Thanks. I will try to get a copy of it. I grew up with the show, so it will always hold a special place in my heart.
