Well, this morning I go up to go to work but my get up and go said "No way, buddy!" so I'm still at home.  My input and output seems to have normalized and there are no more aches and pains, but I'm still feeling kind of feh! so one more day of rest and avoiding as much daytime tv as I can.

*There's also been something going around here in NYC.  Not quite the flu, not quite a cold.  Some people even thought they had developed migraines - myself included.  Must be that global-warming.  Get well soon!

Oy! I am not in the least happy about an email from ten minutes ago.  I should have known the resignation yesterday would blow up in my face, and I have the feeling I'm sittng on the edge of a Vesuvius at the moment. Perhaps everything will work itself out but I wish people would return their calls when you ask them to!

I just had a nice phone call with a realtor in my hometown; now, if I can only convice Macbeth and Randy to seriously listen to what he has to tell them. Hmmmm . . .

Sounds like your day is evening out, DR elmore.

The unpleasant situation will have much bad fallout, which was not my intention when I resigned. Dealing with the Macbeths is a pinch compared to the other.

On the bright side(?), hopefully the fallout will help set the project back on firmer footing with the proper personnel.

OH!

And I did snag a ticket for tonight's performance of Simon Boccanegra at The Met.

Not only is Placido Domingo singing, but a student I used to play for at Catholic University is also in the cast! :)

DerBrucer is walking again.  He looks good, and he sounds like his old self again.  He can’t stand hospital food, of course. Hopefully, he’ll be home on Saturday when Woody is off work.

S.W.W. is not happy the home care specialist has not been returning his calls.

I just returned from some errands to find a jury duty summons in the mail.  They excused me 3 years ago when I had about 8 things scheduled for work during the call-in period.  This time I don't have such a good excuse.

What a weird day. What a really weird day. This has been a very strange and rather crappy weel. I just spoke to Randy and Jo, following a terse email from the Macbeths.

Topic of the Day:

In my CD player here at work:  Pink Martini's "Splendor In the Grass" (I bought the UK release with a bonus DVD!).  Then, I'll listen to Harlequin Productions' 1997 original Olympia cast recording of A Rock & Roll Twelfth Night and after that will be the slightly renamed 2003 revival, A Rock 'n' Roll Twelfth Night.  This second CD stars Louis Hobson, who is now performing on Broadway in Next To Normal!

Mt only bright spot today has been the laughs provided by "Football," a number for the Scarecrow and Tin Man (Montgomery & Stone) from THE WIZARD OF OZ:

Just bring along the ambulance and call the Red Cross Nurse
Then ring the undertaker up and make him bring a hearse
Have all the surgeons ready there for they'll have work today
Oh, can't you see the football teams are lining up to play
Football, Football, that's the game for me
Break his hip, hip hip hurrah
    Kick him in the knee
Soak him on the five yard line
    We must have him lame
Football, football, it's a gentle game
