I hope I don't have to watch any football, but I'm not counting on it.

Nice to see you here, DR der Brucer - how are you feeling?

Probably better than expected. My 8˝" zipper is healing well. Right now the greatest annoyance is the hair growing back on my chest makes any clothing irritating. I still have some numbness in the leg where they pulled the spare parts, but the doc says that's normal. Only two more days of the damned diuretic and that annoyance will be over. I guess going into this deal with low blood pressure, no weight problems, no tendency to high blood sugar, and a healthy heart muscle helped.

Five hours until kick off.  Soon I will start my Velveeta (not VELVITA) dip so that it will ready by about 1:00.  Since I will be enjoying the game by myself, I am using the baby crockpot for the dip.

I've been going through some old photos, and I just came across this one, taken in 1959-60.

That's me with the glasses, in a play at the University of Washington's Penthouse Theater.

Anybody want to guess who that is next to me?

Well, it is too late in time to be James Dean.

I don't think it's Frank Farmer or Jerry Lesch.  (Little inside joke for Druxy).

Sigh. Drunk Duane called at midnight last night.

You may need to get a phone number blocker.  I think they exist.

DRs Jane and Jose, re: springform pans.

8" is my smallest. I think i have 2 others that are around 9.5" or 10". I know that high cheesecakes are popular some places. But i just wanted to make sure that everything would fit in the 8" pan. It looks small to me.

Right now the cheesecake is in the oven and then after it cools i have the fudge topping and reese peanut buttercups to put on. Hopefully the cake will go down a bit when it comes out of the oven. Right now it ballooned up to the top of the sides!

I measured my pans upside down, only measuring the inside plate.  They might be larger if I went from the top, rim to rim as I normally measure a cake pan.

Just wanted to say that after twenty-four hours without phone, television or internet:  IT'S FRAKKIN' AWESOME TO BE BACK!
Oh, and there's twenty-four inches of snow in my yard.

I LOVE your photo album, td! The most snow I've ever seen was in Maryland @ 1965. The drifts came up to the second story of our house and we had to climb out of the window, slide down the drift and dig our way back in to be able to get out of the house! The cars were lumps of snow on the street ---you had to dig down to find which was your car, and I was small enough to be able to walk on the crust of the snow without breaking through like the adults would. I was eye to eye with the street signs!

Why, Thank You, Amy!
The facebook album is being posted to Photobucket, with more which I just took as I got my car from the post office (where it's been sitting since Friday evening).

Actually, Penny, Frank's wife, was in that production.

Woody's "Fine How Do You Do" was a change to his work schedule that required him to be at the store at 6AM this morning; so an hour and a half before sunrise, he set off to trudge 0.6 mile through 2 feet of snow.

:(  How long did it take him?

Isn't there a way to block his number or something?

Der Brucer, sounds like thinks are healing as they should.  I've been putting E on my scar.  Even if it doesn't help it to look better it helps it feel better.

Good afternoon. I'm enjoying just sitting today.  Not sure if I'll watch the Super Bowl or not.  I may go see Precious instead
