On the same disc is one of the 1960s specials - SO YOU'RE IN LOVE, CHARLIE BROWN. It has the original voice cast, and the writing is funnier and more into character instead of just jokes. Looked OK upcoverted, but some scenes looked better than others.

I think in honor of Valentine's Day, I'll watch a "chick flick" tonight on Blu-ray - P.S. I LOVE YOU. Looking forward to seeing it again (and weeping my way through the last quarter hour).

Very quiet in here this afternoon. I guess all the coupled folks are busy and those who aren't coupled might be finding other ways to spend a Sunday.

My afternoon surf has come to an end, so I'll hop off-line now and do some writing. Then, I'll head down to clean the bath, put away the already folded laundry, and then retire to the viewing room for an evening of wonderful entertainment.

If any DRs would like to track my "progress" so far in the City Bakery Hot Chocolate Festival, Click Here.

...To be continued.  ::)

Ooohhh, the pain....the pain...

On the plus side, a friend who has started a sideline of making homemade fudge gave us some of her testers. I just had dark chocolate and cherries. Pretty yummy, although it could probably do with less sugar.

She wanted to know if there were any good BBQ joints in NYC, and I said I knew just the fellow who would know...

Back from the book fair - it was completely dead there today.  I made my trade and now own a very rare and wonderful book.  Dealers today were making incredible deals just to move some stock.

I began entering fixes this morning.  Muse Margaret called and has been under the weather, so she hasn't reread the book yet.  We discussed the ending, and she doesn't want me to touch the epilogue, which is very short and just right.  So, I'm going to end the chapter with the epiphany and then do a subsequent chapter, very short, maybe ten pages tops, that will complete my journey to becoming a record producer.

Jennifer did your toffee on the snow look like this?

Yes that is pretty much what it looks like. I think they boil big pots of maple syrup and then pour it over snow. Then you turn it on your stick.

It is mostly known here for when you go sugaring off. Although not sure if that means anything to most of you guys.

I must say i screamed very loudly while tobogganing.

I was scared silly. The hill was the biggest i've ever been down. We couldn't let my niece go down alone. So we both sat on the same sled. And i guess my weight made it go very fast.

The second time i put my feet out a bit to stop some of the speed. But if anyone had a video of my first time down. It would be pretty funny.

Did you take a photo of the cupcakes?  Glad they came out.

Is sugaring when the trees are opened for the sap to come out?  I remember taking the boys to a maple sugar farm in Vermont or New Hampshire.  It was a long time ago & I don't recall much about it.  That was when we discovered how delicious top grade maple syrup is, and that I don't like maple sugar candies.

I guess I have led a sheltered life.

Me too.  We have lots of snow, but I've never had toffee on it. I think it would be fun to try

The weather has turned dangerous here.  It doens't look that bad looking out the window, but we had an additional 2-3 inches of snow last night and the winds are about 40 mph and it's really cold out. They have closed the south bound lanes of I-29 due to multiple crashes and travel isn't recommended on other roads.   I was feeling bad about not going to the office today until I went to the grocery store.  I am home and not leaving

Yes they are saying 5" or more of additional snow for us starting after midnight.  So I went to WalMart about half an hour ago....I am used to going to Retired Persons hours....and Sunday afternoon ain't it!

I attended said board meeting, gave my report, and l listened to many others.  Then I turned my head to talk to Sandi, and while I wasn't looking I was appointed Chairperson of the 50th Anniversary Celebration Committee.

I expect a lot of arguments....and that wouldn't happen if they would just agree with me to begin with.

Stay safe, you people in the snow.

They turned the heat on at church this morning. It is currently 74F.

I was wondering the same thing, can I just boil some pure maple syrup and pour it on the snow?

Back from a sandwich and fries.  Whilst dining I made preliminary cuts to those twenty-nine pages and have minimally removed sixteen, which I think will actually be fine.
