Kathryn Grayson played Guenevere for the last 11 weeks of the original broadway run of Camelot. Also Inga Swenson was the original standby for Lancelot

One of our eleven GUESTS is looking at the exact same thread that has been looked at every day for the last week.  Note to GUEST: It doesn't change.

Can't it be a different guest checking out the thread, possibly a friend of the original guest?

As for commenting or not commenting on the machinations of this final season of "Lost"...

Well...

I really just want to watch it, and let the writers take me on whatever ride - or rides - they have devised.  I'd rather be surprised by every twist and turn, rise and (sudden) drop, rather than anticipate them and see them in the distance.

Ditto and ditto. :)

Just concluded the deal for a new soundtrack - hopefully the first of many with a new company for us.

Congrats on the new deal, BK!!

BK, have you been watching any of the Olympics or do they not interest you?

Maybe this sounds odd, but i just can't imagine anyone not being interested.

It may sound odd, but they really don't interest me in the least.

I would think that at least certain sports would interest each person (they could be different for every person).

But even if i hated every single sport at the Olympics, to me it's a matter of national pride. I just can't imagine not caring.

How can watching the Olympics have anything to do with national pride!

USA! USA! USA! USA!   I have no idea ;)

DR Jennifer - I believe the Summer Olympics are a bigger "deal" and ratings draw on this side of the border.

I've never figured that one out.

Evgeni Plushenko looks just like a boyfriend I had years and years ago. He was not a nice person and it makes it very difficult for me to cheer for Plushenko.

He was also the reason I ended up in Phoenix, lol

Question today on ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A FIFTH GRADER?

The Wabash River starts in Ohio and travels through what state on its way to Illinois?

Grown up's answer:  Uh...Colorado?

Oh, dear lord! But, actually not THAT big a surprise. Geography seemed to be something that totally escaped many of my students during my years of teaching. I've told this story before, but once I found out that my students couldn't find simple locations on a U.S. or world map, I went right to the library and asked for as many pull down maps as my room could accommodate. Afterwards, we NEVER read a story with a particular setting that a map didn't get pulled down and we had a little mini-geography lesson. I also tried to work in as many names of places in grammar work as I could so we could talk about them during a grammar lesson.

When I went downstairs I watched THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM on Blu-ray since it arrived in the mail today. Yep, the sound is much richer and fuller on Blu-ray than it was on my HD-DVD. I'm so glad to have the three films all on Blu-ray now.

Next, I've been meaning to transfer the long program performances of Ryan Bradley, Adam Rippon, Johnny, Wvan, and Jeremy from the National Championships onto a DVD-R, and I finally got around to doing that tonight. Those two hours will be precious real estate on the DVR recording another 4-hour Olympic evening tonight.

If I continue to have the weekend off, I'll transfer the short and long programs of the best skaters onto a DVD-R for keeping at some point this weekend. That will allow me to delete these and have room for the ladies' events next week.

Waiting for the start on GREY'S ANATOMY, I watched about half an hour of THE CROWD which was on TCM-HD.

And then I watched tonight's GREY'S ANATOMY. It was the best episode of the season thus far, concentrating on cases from the earlier careers of several of the doctors. Really, really enjoyed it this week.

I've never figured that one out.

Summer-style sports are internationally performed in all climates.  Winter sports are not.  The original Olympics featured classical sports that are considered Summer ones and some remain part of the Summer Games.

Ditto...loved the sequence on the bridge between the man, who was suicidal, and his young son.  VERY effective.

Kathryn also starred in the National Company of CAMELOT.  I saw her do it in Seattle with Louis Hayward and Arthur Treacher.

Oh I know, I just don't find them as interesting...but then I like winter better than summer so that probably makes sense

Once again, I got no UPS review copy deliveries, so it appears I'll have tomorrow off. I really enjoyed the total freedom today of watching anything I wanted, and will look forward tomorrow for a repeat performance.

Tonight CBS played THE MENTALIST rerun at 9 p.m. and CSI at 10 p.m. I'm thinking this may be permanent, if not for the rest of this season then possibly next season. THE MENTALIST has been CBS' highest ranked show on Thursday night for much of the season.
