I'd guess we saw about 60 - we got there about halfway through a group, saw the next entire group, and left about halfway through the next.  We were there long enough to be pretty impressed with the organization and a lot of the talent.  Please thank April for being so nice to us!

Will do, DR Ginny.

Something must have been on the schedule the same time as MATT HOUSTON, because I didn't watch it.  I am intrigued by the guest star lineups....I may have to buy this set.

Well...

I think I'm going to head back up to my room and veg out in front of the TV for a bit.  I believe the day - and the day before - has finally caught up with me.

Laters...

I don't remember her song, but her acting part started, "Give up chocolate?!!!"  And the girl whose blouse was the exact same color as the background drape - I felt so sorry for her and she blew me away with both her singing and acting.

It took me a minute to get used to the fact that the songs and speaking parts didn't go together. Karen, who's a high school teacher who teaches workshops on putting together auditions, explained a lot about the art and science behind the process.  We were glad we'd been in the room before having lunch with her.

I just read the story of a family that left Haiti after the earthquake to live near their son in Chili.  Physically they are fine.

Not to be picky, but the country is Chile, chili is a soup.....of course if they went to live in a big bowl of soup, then never mind :D

LOL-I didn't know what you were talking about, "Chili" until I squinted really hard at my quote.

Ugh....a few clicks and I realize why I didn't watch MATT HOUSTON.

Pamela Hensley......she made me hate MARCUS WELBY when she was brought in during the last season as a love interest for James Brolin.....disliked her so much, I didn't even start watching MATT HOUSTON.....

Perhaps I have mellowed since then toward Ms Hensley.

LOST SPOILER FROM THIS WEEK

*
*
Personally, I was more than glad to see the two characters who were killed in last week's LOST bite the dust.  Especially the "assistant," my least favorite performance since Daniel Faraday.

Can you try to remember to put spoiler space. Or at least write the word LOST on the line before you write the spoiler.  Not everybody watches it on Tuesdays.

DR Jennifer - Today is Thursday.

Yes, it is.  So what?  Some folks don't catch up until the weekend.

That's the POINT of using "Spoiler" so folks don't have shows "spoiled" for them.

Do we really need to have it all spelled out AGAIN?  Or was the HainesHisWay.com policy on this changed?

...or maybe it did all happen--in a world strangely like ours, but not like ours.  A world not unlike our own, but skewed.  A world where Debra Messing is coming back to TV in a new series.

Um, wait a minute--that's actually happening in our world...

Er, imagine, if you would, a world where Debra Messing is NOT coming back to TV in a new searies (at least not in this coming season...)

Isn't it called I LOVE DEBRA?

Haiti, Chile, Debra Messing.......

I always enjoyed MATT HOUSTON.  I thought Lee Horsley was great, and I thought that he worked well with Pamela Hensley.  But then, I always thought Pamela had a lot more talent than Lucy.

DR Ginny - I actually prefer it when the song and monologue don't go together, when they contrast. Most of the time, the "matching" packages come across as gimmicky to me. Additionally, some actors spend so much time trying to find the "perfect" song to go with the "perfect" monologue, that they end up using up all of their actual preparation and rehearsal time.  However...

I have heard some pretty funny and callback-worthy audition packages over the years. One of my favorites which got "retired" a few years ago (when the actor became a full-time director) started off with a monologue about a doctor's exam. The actor/character is told he has to give a urine sample. He pulls/pulled a cup out of his jacket...

"How am I supposed to fill this up? Can you help me out, Jose?"

I play/ed his cue note. He starts singing...

"Soon it's gonna rain..."

DR Jennifer - Today is Thursday.

And?  All I'm saying is that I had not yet watched the show when i read DR JMK's post. I am very careful (and i did stop half way through it so i didn't read everything he wrote). But what he wrote was a major spoiler and there was no way anyone who had not watched the show could not read it (since the spoiler was listed before the name of the show).
