On a somewhat related note, for any of you wanting a completely outre filmic experience, I highly recommend the short "Higglety Pigglety Pop" which is included on the new BD of "Where the Wild Things Are."  Unbelievably surreal.

Yes - it drove me crazy last year the way they did that with the Tonys.

Despite a fun, cheeky opening by Martin and Baldwin, I found the Oscars to be interminable...largely because of what makes all TV interminable these days.  An excessive amount of commercials that make everything unwatchable.

We have finished tracing all the wiring in the house in our ongoing effort to hang sconces.

Would Drunk Dwain happen to be an electrician who worked in Atlanta 15 years ago?

LOL-but I'm also concerned now.  I hope your wiring is safe.

Greg will make sure it is. He's having to undo terrible workmanship in this house. They even cut ceiling joists to install can lights. Duh! Even I know better than that!

They could have showed MORE clips from different movies if they hadn't shown ten clips each from PSYCHO and THE SHINING, etc......

I was miffed that there was nothing from THE FLY.

My friend Richard King was on the Oscars briefly since he won the sound design Oscar last year for The Dark Knight. It was just the back of his head but still exciting!

I did correctly guess that BK would have the most "Kvetchies" by the time I got here to catch up on the posts.  ;)

That was not a "guess", that was a predictable certainty.

We can have dancers for best score, but can't hear the best songs?

You call those dancers?  You're much too kind.

They were introduced as a collection of "street dancers" - and did a very fine job of representing that dance form.

I'm now watching Friday's episode of "The Bonnie Hunt Show."  I'm not watching any after-Oscar stuff.

It's leaving LA on Tuesday morning - it was so big I had to hire people to move it into the house.

Is it as BIG as the commercial pauses in the Oscars tonight?

Is it as BIG as that lady was RUDE who ran up onstage and stole that producer/director's moment for short or whatever it was?  What was with that?

The deleted post was about two people who couldn't be bothered to join their brethren here at haineshisway.com - had they we'd already be in sixth place.

Johnny Weir was on Friday's "Bonnie Hunt Show."  I just started watching, so I haven't gotten to his segment, yet.
