Good morning!

Beautiful morning here, and it's going to be a beautiful day, too, with highs in the mid-70s. Rain tomorrow and then we go back to cold for a few days. Ouch!

I have made NO decisions about my viewing today. I've been so busy around the house I haven't had time to go to the to-watch bookcase and see what looks appetizing.

Also, last night when I was watching GAMBIT, I got a BIG urge to see CHARADE again, so I'll likely put that on at some point today.

Also, coming out this week is THE AFRICAN QUEEN in a new restoration. It's also the final film in the AFI top 100 movies that is getting a release on DVD. (Of course, for some of us, it's the Blu-ray release that's more appealing, but BOY is Paramount asking for a lot for this. I'll have to wait for a reduction in price.)

Thankfully there's going to be a CASTLE rerun tonight which will give me something to watch tomorrow while I eat lunch.

Today I'll be watching THE OFFICE/30 ROCK while I eat lunch and before I put on something to watch this afternoon.

Oh...

By the way, "Secrets of a Restaurant Chef" is a lie.  It should be titled "Secrets of a Former Restaurant Chef (Who Gave Up Her Restaurant In Order To Purse Her Media Career").

That is all.

I'm a bit torn on this one.

I've got an import of THE AFRICAN QUEEN that is not restored, but is actually pretty good.

So, I might wait awhile, too, for the price to drop.

And now I'm heading down to explore what's in that to-watch bookcase and hopefully find something exciting.

Saturday morning greetings!  Richard and I are scheduled to work at the AAUW book sale from 5-7pm, so I've put a pot roast dinner in the crockpot to be ready when we get home.

Saturday.

Thank you to all who provided vibes for my Aunt Betty yesterday.

As expected, she passed away about 6 a.m. this morning.

No doubt escorted by flights of angels.

My sympathies to you and yours, JRand.

My niece and her friend watched THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG dvd yesterday (i did not watch it yet). My niece knew the story very well because she has the book (i think this helped).

She seemed to like it because she was laughing very hard.

One complaint i have about the book and which i've heard others make about the movie is the lack of time that tiana is a princess. She spends most of the movie as a frog.  I think it would have been nicer (and especially since she is the first black princess) to give her a lot more airtime.

Zach and I started PRINCESS AND THE FROG last night.  Loved the visuals, and the opening two tunes were great, but I was a bit underwhelmed by the Voodoo Doctor's big production number.  (Plus it came too soon after the previous song).  That's about as far as we got, song wise
