DR CILLA LIZ I also enjoyed Matthew Broderick on WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?  Last week's episode with Lisa Kudrow was also very good.

I am using my new SONY VAIO with wireless keyboard and mouse and it is most interesting.

And soon it will be time for THE SOUP.

It is going to take awhile to get used to this thing.

I am not sure I am ready for the change over....quite yet.....next week, when I have time to play will tell the tale.

A tale told by an idiot.

And now switching back to CISNET.

I just watched Matthew Broderick on Who Do You Think You Are.   Interesting.  I hope this show renews interest in geneology

I've been watching that series, too, DR Cillaliz, and I love the attention to libraries and research.  I laughed, though, when Sarah Jessica Parker showed up at one of the research centers and they'd done all the research for her - NOT!  And, the great discoveries that are made in an hour can take grassroots folks like my sister years and years.  But it is fun.

I think I am going to watch the ladies short program figure skating.

My lower back has been acting up a bit. I'm not really sure what to do. It doesn't hurt when i walk. But hurts often when i sit. It doesn't help that i have to hold my 18lb niece so much. But it's impossible to watch her without lifting her at all.

Well, I'm not going to apologize for the amount of time I spend on Facebook, because it's a pretty vital communications tool in my family these days.  Plus, I'm trying to sell some Vera Bradley items and need to be "present."  Usually, I have tabs open for both HHW and FB, plus Twitter.

I virtually never check in on FB, much to the chagrin of many of my friends, who "live" there.  :)

I had a call from my banker today. I'm trying to refinance.  It's a bit of a hassle when you have a new business.  I had to have 2 years of income taxes and show that my income is increasing etc...anyway, it looks like I may qualify for a 15 year at 4.25 percent.  I'm at 6 percent on a 30 year right now.  My banker said if I qualify AND if the house appraises high enough (that's kind of iffy - but would mean no mtg ins) I will save over 80,000 in interest and will have the house paid off when I'm 64. I'm really hoping this works out.  It will mean a slightly higher payment, but not so much that I can't swing it

~~~Refinance Vibes for DR Cillaliz!!~~~
When I originally bought my condo, I got a 30 year loan at 6.875%.  About two years ago, I was able to refinance with a 15 year at 5.0%.  I figure that I'm going to save about $150,000 (unless I calculated incorrectly) and it'll be paid off about 11 years before I retire instead of 5 years after I retire. :)
I spent over two weeks all day every day at the Momon library in Mesa, AZ one year.  I spun my wheels a lot, but found out a lot about our family.   On the other hand if a tv show producer wants to pay me to do the research for someone else, I'll have it done when they get to the library!
The Judi Dench Box.
DR JRand59, you never did answer my question the other night about what production of LES CONTES D'HOFFMANN you were watching.
BTW -  I love to play cafe world and zoo world on facebook. When I do, I usually have HHW open too and go back and forth and post if I think there is something to say.  So just because I'm on facebook doesn't mean I'm not here
Anytime I'm on my computer (at home or at work), I'm ALWAYS on HHW. :D
4.25% sounds like a GREAT deal!  A co-worker of mine told me that about 12 or 15 years ago, she and her then-husband were buying a place (new to them) and they got was was then a good interest rate...12%!!
I finally gave in late this afternoon and called the doctor's office for an appointment to see about the sore throat I've had all week.  I think it's sinus/allergy related, but I'm pretty uncomfortable and hesitant to take OTC meds with blood thinners.  My appointment in the morning is with the new nurse practitioner in the office.
I've set my DVR to record this while I'm watching some other shows that need to be watched and deleted.  I saw some commercials for last week's episode but didn't watch it.
Thanks, DR Cillaliz - I think tonight's remedy will be chocolate almond ice cream.
And as much as I would like to boost the posting total to even higher than Oscar night, I am afraid my back is demanding that I go to bed.
Very interesting reading some of these posts.  Jane, for example, cites negative posts about former dear readers.  I presume that is directed my way.  But apparently it is somehow okay for those former dear readers to send private e-mails saying the most specious things about me - apparently that's okay.  Not.  Not to this boy.  And please don't tell me they haven't because I will then have to print each and every e-mail that has been sent to me proving they have.  I've got 'em all.  Think I'm making it up?
Jose cites posts about the creators of the long musical.  That is me occasionally venting, and since they are unknown to people on this board, exactly who does it hurt?  Everyone vents including, I hate to say it, Jose.  And believe me, you don't want the creators of the long musical on this board, oh, no, you don't want them on this board.
Yes, I get constant e-mails about what is going on over at Facebook.  I don't know how to turn them off, and frankly some of the e-mails have questions in them that I would never be aware of, since I don't really visit more than three times a week, except on odd occasions.  One need only look at the frequency of my updates to know that.
I don't want anyone I know in real life on this board. Just the ones I've met because of this board.
