Well, I have had a busy morning.
I placed flowers on the altar at church this morning in Dad's memory - it's five years to the day since he died.
Dixie Bell and I walked around the Drainage Authority, where she decided that mud is a good thing. . .NOT to me.
Had a half hour rehearsal for the solo I'm singing on Easter Sunday as well as the song I'm performing with the choir. . .
This will be my solo number next week:

On my wish list:  a gospel choir to back me up and Michael Ball's wardrobe. . . .

Or, just Michael Ball.

Or just Michael's... Well... Nevermind.  ::)

Whatever the little shakeup of two days ago did - it was a good thing, I think, because we've just had two days of wonderful, interesting posts from my favorite people on all the Internet.

Or maybe it's just because it's the weekend, and your favorite people have more time to post since they're not at work where they are not allowed to browse non-work-related sites.

::)

Well, it might be true but a simple look at most weekend posting will tell you that it isn't - it's usually pretty slow around these here parts.

And the exciting news is that book and cover have been uploaded to the publisher's site.

We've just survived the most hellacious hail storm! My front porch was completely covered in hail, and I feared for my greenhouse window being broken with all of the rock-sized hail that was falling so hard.

And we got word today that this year's hurricane season here promises to be worse than those of the last several years.

VIBES THEY HAVE IT WRONG & YOU HAVE A MILD SEASON!!!

Thanks. I'll keep the good thought. I more fearful for those on the coast, of course, though we have had them come as far inland as Charlotte and do significant damage.

I got a bit worried for you earlier, DR MattH, when I saw that Breaking News tweets/alerts about tornadoes touching down in west Charlotte and Davidson County, NC.  Glad to read and see that you're all right.

I have not seen Shanks and would love to - somehow I missed the recent showing on TCM.  Is it scheduled again?

I didn't see it being repeated on TCM.  Nor is it listed as being scheduled on their website.
If you'd like, you know I'd happily make you a copy.  :)

Here's one of my camelias; we call it the starlite, because it looks like those starlite mints they have at restaurants:

Here's the adorable native plant, epimedium. Their daffodill-like blossoms are very tiny:

Hello, everyone.

I, too, am doing laundry. (Always an obligatory HHW mention.)

My neighbor is singing. Oy!!

What a coinkydink!  I just finished a couple loads of laundry!
