No, I put them in the can with the yard waste.  Our landfill uses compost to make methane gas that powers some factory or power plant or something. Anyway, we can put anything in the trash and they take it.

OK, this post is for those of you who have been accused of/reacting to/need to learn the proper way of VENTING department:

A guy sends me about 10 emails in the space of 30 seconds BEGGING to buy my Ensoniq (once a very high end keyboard, the company went out of business years ago, so these are highly prized).   I call him and chat.  He agrees to come at 3 to pick it up.  Of course at 3 he calls to say he doesn't have a car available.  OK, here's the venting part:

I noticed yesterday that my crocus, tulips and daffodils are starting to come up.  I also saw my first Robin yesterday, she was looking for a place to nest

Wow, all of the crocus, tulips, daffodils, and flowering cherry have been in bloom for the last three weeks or so.  Last weekend, I even saw a beautiful camellia bush...tree...shrub inf full bloom.

Yes, well three weeks ago we still had over a foot of snow on the ground

We didn't!   ;D

And they just ran through my yard. I hope they didn't trample my wildflowers.

Every time I look out the window at the rain I think how lucky we were today to catch the sunshine earlier.  The morning rain had turned to a drizzle when Keith said lets go to the dog park.  As we were driving the sun suddenly came out.  As we approached the turn towards the hiking trails Keith slowed down & decided to go there instead. :D The weather stayed lovely during the entire hike.  Had the sun come out a minute later he probably would have continued on to the dog park.

Maybe they could take some of those gosh-awful songs from LOST HORIZON and put them in the show.  Chuck and Fran could sing Question Me an Answer and they could throw out Turkey Lurkey Time and replace it with The World is a Circle.
that's just cruel. Besides, Liv Ullman is going to recycle it as part of the Stephen King/John Mellancamp musical she's said to be directing.

I have been posting photos of Arizona flowers. I think it's time other folks post photos of their flowers, too, now that spring is here (for some, anyway).
Will try to get some this week. This has been an exceptional year in South Texas for wildflowers. Didn't have time to stop on the way back from the beach, but we saw fields and fields blanketed with bluebonnets, Indian paintbrushes, primroses and all kinds of yellow, purple and magenta flowers that I don't know the names of. It was all something spectacular.

June Havoc has died. I met her around 1984, and she was very kind.

Very sorry to read this. She's very tender in the documentary LIFE AFTER TOMORROW consoling one of the crying orphans on ANNIE's closing night.

I know that a lot of people will argue with me, but I still think that Sean Hayes is wrong for the show.

He doesn't seem right to me either, but I think it's probably unfair to say for sure until I saw him in it.

Was he any good as the Devil in DAMN YANKEES?

We've just survived the most hellacious hail storm! My front porch was completely covered in hail, and I feared for my greenhouse window being broken with all of the rock-sized hail that was falling so hard.

And we got word today that this year's hurricane season here promises to be worse than those of the last several years.

When I went down, I watched last night's CASTLE rerun. This was the excellent episode where high class society folks are having their jewelry stolen, the last theft also ending in a murdered body being stuffed into a wall safe. Entertaining caper even though it wasn't much of a mystery.

We had hail the other day, too. Did it do any damage to roof/car/plants?

Then I watched the latest SPARTACUS episode. Boy, one really should not get attached to ANY of the characters since death is always around the corner. My favorite gladiator met his maker tonight and most unfairly since he was participating in an exhibition that was just for amusement and wasn't supposed to end in a thumbs up or down.

My car is in a garage, thank goodness, so I think it's safe. I don't hear any roof problems (I'm upstairs now). As for plants, I suspect the daffodils that were blooming are not any longer, but I won't know for sure until tomorrow morning. It's too dark out to see anything, and it's raining, so I'm not going out in it to check.

Thanks. I'll keep the good thought. I more fearful for those on the coast, of course, though we have had them come as far inland as Charlotte and do significant damage.

I concluded my evening by watching four more episodes of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER. I saw the one with David Burtka playing Lily's schlubby stalker Scooter.
