The weather is supposed to be very, very nice for the next few days. I will be on Long Island from late tomorrow afternoon until Sunday evening.

And our word of the day is the big word from "25th Annual Putnam Spelling Bee." Think I'd rather hear "It's a Wonderful World."

I read the other day that they are making a new movie about Anne Frank, but they are updating the story a bit.  It's going to be called THE BLOG OF ANNE FRANK.

I do not remember any April Fool jokes - I don't like them.

We have had some nice things written here that made me laugh - but otherwise, keep it home.

Your shoe is untied.  HA HA HA......not!

I don't remember any either.

I guess we are getting the same weather system as NYC because we are also supposed to get glorious weather. Today will be okay. But friday, saturday and sunday. It is supposed to be sunny and it could be high 70s or even higher.  I am so excited.

I see that THE MENTALIST is on at a new time today. I wonder if they are just testing it or if it is permanent. On CBS it is on at 9pm.  Here on the Canadian channel they are showing it at 8pm. These new times actually work for me since i already have 2 shows on at 10pm.

Good morning!

Cool and beautiful this morning and the walk was very invigorating. Get to take tomorrow morning off from walking and looking forward to a little break.

It's a "permanent test." In other words, if THE MENTALIST's ratings are on par or higher than CSI's season's average in the 9 p.m. slot, it will be permanent. If there is a drop-off, then CBS will switch them back. Frankly, I think now THE MENTALIST is the more popular of the two shows and deserves the 9 p.m. slot.

And speaking of tonight's TV schedules, I'm back to having lots of shows on opposite each other from 8-10.

There is a new BONES tonight (the first new episode since early February) which I cannot wait to see. I also have new episodes of FLASH FORWARD, SUPERNATURAL, THE MENTALIST, GREY'S ANATOMY, and PROJECT RUNWAY.

Thankfully, NC is rerunning the hour shows of Jim and Pam's wedding and the birth of Jim and Pam's baby so THE OFFICE marathon is all reruns tonight. That frees up some DVR space.

The UPS man just dropped off the "squeakquel" to ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS, so I have my work project for the day. I see that Zachery Levi is the human star of this edition, so that should make it somewhat more palatable. It's also only 88 minutes long which should make it relatively painless.

I'm also not sure about lunch out today. My friends are having work-related issues with a move to a new building, and so we may not be able to do it today. Notification is pending.

Should they be?

Perhaps, as a response to BK's TOD.

I have pleasant memories of April Fool's gags, but nothing spectacular.   I guess the first one of the "internet age" I can recall was back in the late 1990s (1996 or 97) when, on a film music forum, someone posted an announcement about some upcoming releases of scores folks had been clamoring for over several years.

The reaction was swift and excited, especially among our non-American members.  It didn't take long for someone to interject a bit of cynicism over the veracity of the announcement "on April Fool's Day".

Once others trumpeted that it HAD to be a gag, there were some REALLY upset posters the rest of the day.

I'm going to head down now and get cleaned up in case we do go out to lunch. If we don't, I'll have to head somewhere to pick up something. The cupboard is bare until I go to the store on Friday.

Why not save yourself a trip tomorrow if you end up having to go somewhere.   Combine your dining with an early grocery day.

Thursday morning greetings!  Can someone please tell me why I decided to throw a major family dinner party the night before Richard and I have to leave for Easter weekend in Lima?  Yikes, there's a lot to do, including getting our bedroom ready for my sister and her husband to occupy it for the next 3 nights.  Fortunately, we don't have to leave until early/mid afternoon.
