I am quoting from "Bonnie & Clyde", DR JANE.

Awesome movie on TCM right now.

Saw it a couple of times on a drive in double bill with UP THE DOWN STAIRCASE.....loved both movies....went back 3 nights in a row to see them both.  ;D

My mother REFUSED to buy me the sheet music to BONNIE & CLYDE, as she insisted the movie "glorified violence."  Can you imagine?  :)

LOL-I'm not sure what the music had to do with the violence in the film.  I get her point about the violence on a young impressionable mind ;)

Matt H., thanks for your concerns about whether I would be healthy enough to do the role in SLEUTH.  Actually, I think that I am up to doing the show.  I have played the role of Andrew three different times, and with three different Milos.  I have always felt that it was a role written for me.  I would truly love to do it one more time before I am done.

I'm glad to read this as I also was concerned.

Thank you, mother!

Expressing my concern for your health really reminded me of MY mother, DR TCB. Before she died, my mother was NEVER enthusiastic when I told her I was auditioning for a show. At the time, I was teaching school during the day and reviewing films for a newspaper service, so she'd always express concern that I'd run myself down with overextending myself and get sick due to exhaustion.

Signing off now to rest up for what may be a very long day tomorrow.  I probably won't be able to check in here until we get home, so...Happy Easter!

I have become addicted to the series BONES in reruns on TNT. I think I will watch some of Season One on DVD tonight.

I have loved it since the show's first season. I have all of the seasons on DVD except last season which was issued on Blu-ray and which I reviewed for my worksite.

It's season five. The first 15 episodes.

And speaking of PERRY MASON, I spent my evening watching more episodes from the set. I got to within one episode of the end, so I'll be able to finish it up easily tomorrow, maybe even before lunch which would leave my entire afternoon and evening free for leisure viewing.

I had already mentioned Raymond Bailey guest starring as a doctor on the episode I had started. A very young Alejandro Rey was also in that episode. Among the other guest stars, Leslie Parrish (making her second appearance in the fifth season, a decidedly unsympathetic part this time), Barbara Pepper, Ed Nelson, Dabbs Greer, Les Tremayne, Strother Martin, Elvia Allman, Denver Pyle (his second appearance in the set, too), Frank Overton, Dick Foran, Deforest Kelley, Gerald Mohr (whom we were just discussing the other day!), and Alan Hale, Jr.

My eyes were really getting heavy during that last episode I watched tonight. I was pleased that in these first 14 episodes, I have guessed the correct killers 10 times. (And it really is guesswork. The writer of the show withholds LOTS of information so Mason can spring his big surprises in court.)

Matt, you mentioned Parley Baer earlier.  Parley was from SLC, a very well known LDS family, in fact.  Parley was actually a family name and Parley's Canyon was right by the first house I lived in as a small child in SLC.

He's one of those wonderful character actors who's completely recognizable and always enjoyable whether the part is large or small. He's the kind of actor that most regular viewers know by sight but not by name. These are the very people I LOOK for on these shows.

Finally back from rehearsal and dinner at Canter's.  Rehearsal was fun - too short - and today I actually was a director, giving some actors pointers.  Our co-author had indeed been giving confusing notes to actors and I was seeing the result in yesterday's rehearsals.  I undid that damage - especially with our Lepke.  I said a very simple thing to him - you are a star, a celebrity gangster - a light to which others are drawn.  When you're onstage I don't want to be able to look anywhere else.  His whole demeanor changed and the difference in his next scene was pretty astonishing.

Thanks DR Jane. I thought you would enjoy it

Most interesting DR CILLA LIZ!

I thought so too!  Bert was a pretty influential man in town at the time of his death. There was a big obit in the paper and they closed his company so everyone could go to the funeral.  Esther's father died when she was 4 and her husband died when she was 53.  I'm going to email Carol and see if she will tell me more about her family.  I find it all quite fascinating

When I sold Mom's house, I left the new owner a short history of the house. I wonder if he left it for the next guy when he sold it?

My house was bought and sold so many times before we moved in. The neighbors said that no one ever stayed more than a couple of years at a time.

I didn't really dive into researching my house until I got involved with a group that is trying to save some old houses in town from destruction.  My idea was to research the history of the houses and see if there are people who may care enough to post the bond needed for someone to go in and start renovating the house.  I'm not really optimistic for most of the houses I researched, but it got me looking into my house and I'm glad I did.

DR elmore, with that much anger I can see why you will wait to contact her.  I think you really want to yell at her mother, not at your cousin.

But also, what interest have I in a person I do not know and haven't seen in 50 years?

If you're not interested I say don't do it.  If you decide you want to be in contact later, you can always send her a friend request

LOL< my dad took me to see Bonnie and Clyde at the theater while my mom had bridge club.  Looking at the release date, I must have been 6 years old at the time.
