Just realized my posting from yesterday never went through so.

FRIDAY'S TOD

no videos planned

but  I did go see Death At A Funeral. It was quite funny, but there were several moments  where it dragged. However IMHO James Marsden stole the film from Chris Rock, Martin Lawrence and Tracey Morgan.

Wondering what ever happen to the following Broadway musical performers

Ben Harney (Dreamgirls)*
Jere Shea (Passion)
Leilani Jones (grind)*
Brian Backer (The Flaoting Lightblub)* (Okay not a musical but still wondering)
Michael McGuire (Les Miz)*
Frances Ruffelle (Les Miz)*

Robert Westenberg (Into the Woods, Sunday in the Park With George)  (hasn't been on Broadway for 12 years

* Harney won a Tony award and never did another Broadway shiow. Jones, McGuire Ruffelle and Backer did one show and won a Tony Award and never did another Broadway show

Jones was also one of the original doo-wop girls in "Little Shop" and I remember her in a toothpaste commercial. I liked her in "Grind" and wonder where she is now.

And I saw McGuire on a touring production of show tunes that he did with Debbie Gravitte. This was about 15 years ago and it was playing the seniors circuit. This stop was in Sarasota, Fla. His voice was great, but his presence was a bit wooden, so I could see where he might not get his choice of parts.

Well, after some Googling and my own personal recollections...

Jere, I believe, is still living in Boston, and is still working as a consultant and fund-raiser for various organizations.  My godfather worked alongside him a few years ago during a campaign for the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.  I've also heard from a couple of students at Boston College - his alma mater - that he pops back in from time to time for lectures and coaching sessions.

Frances Ruffelle is still alive and well and working in London. I believe she's concentrating now on more solo work, however, I know she appeared in Chicago as Roxie Hart a couple of times across the pond.  You could also check her WEB SITE - which is still somewhat in progress.  She's also on Twitter: @frankieruff.  *I really love that her daughter (with her director/husband, Trevor Nunn) is named "Eliza Doolittle". :)

According to Michael Maguire's website, he finished up his law degree in Los Angeles last year.

Leilani Jones has been doing voice over work for video games, most notably Monkey Island.

Robert Westenberg is now a theatre professor at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri.  I see his name on resumes from time to time. Always makes me smile.  And don't forget his Cinderella and wife, Kim Crosby.  She was Sally in Follies up at Barrington a few years ago, and they played opposite each other in My Fair Lady - as Eliza and Higgins - at the St. Louis MUNY a few seasons back.

And that's all I got.

Right after Grind, she appeared as Anita in West Side Story at the Kennedy Center.  I think it was supposed to be the first stop on a tour that never happened. Rex Smith was Tony. ::)  I saw it on a high school field trip.

I must now get myself outside to mow the lawn, then get showered and shaved before my friend Jim arrives. We are headed out to Walmart and then someplace for lunch.

Yes DR MBARNUM we must see the show together!

Thanks for the photo comments.  I linked from my hard drive, DR MATTH - sorry they're not showing up.

Maybe  I will move the album over to Photobucket sooner or later.

Now more work...Oh well.

Great photos, JRand!

I'm packing up my trusty camera then hopping into the shower.
Mum and I must go to a wedding this afternoon.

Baby, it's cold outside today.

*And by doing that you can also check for last minute seating assignments, changes.  -Are you an exit row type? (for the extra leg room)

Darn, one more thing I may never be able to do again, sit in an exit row when traveling alone.

If he's using a Mac, he can check for his Password in the Keychain Access under Utilities.

Or he could go ahead and reset his wireless router and password to something he will remember. ;)

Never had a moon pie. Don't even know what a moon pie is.

But I do love Chalava, (Marbled or chocolate covered)

Favorite Canadian chocolate bars

Coffee Crisp
Aero
Mr. Big

I honestly had no idea that aero and coffee crisp were not available in the US. I would think that aero would be very popular.  Very weird to me that we have different chocolate bars.

Just back from Blockbuster where I picked up 3 used DVDs for $20.00:

COLD SOULS
TAKING WOODSTOCK
ZOMBIELAND

I haven't seen any of these, so I hope I made some good choices.

I think you have a lot more English candy than we do.  One time in Canada I found these delicious Swedish style ginger cookies made by Kraft.  We don't have them here & I could not get Kraft to communicate how I could buy them.
