Great to see Penny-O and Miss Karen, and hope she gives a hug to Boo-key from us!

Well, this dawg seems not to mind seeing raccoons on the deck - and the raccoons come right up to the glass door to gawk at the big predator... something so wrong with that

Feels like more rain coming. Mosquitos drove me indoors. Wow, I'm beginning to see a life ahead that doesn't involve 2-day drives and months of repairs and yard work...

For some reason, I picture a cartoon Penny, surrounded by forest creatures and with a blue bird on her finger as she sings to all of them.   :)

George, you and I have got to figure out a time when the two of us can meet up with the delightful PennyO.  Let's not let the summer go by without this get together.

Watching The 5000 Fingers of Dr T - mostly excellent on TCM HD!

Love the music and the big "orchestra" dance number....what imagination!

DR CP - glad the DVD arrived.  You will be pleased/horrified to know that I took several cuts from the television show (not all of course) - to get us to just over two hours.

Attendance has been down at The Taste today.  I don't know why.  It was a little overcast, but very comfortable out.

I am VERVERYVERY excited that Van Dyke Parks is coming east and playing in Ohio in September. My best friend may take a road trip up  with me since she's from Cincinatti. VDP is also playing in Columbus, where I have family. I think I'm going to enjoy being a lady of leisure for a little while.

DR Edi is coming to Ohio - maybe we can get together this time!

There is a little house, directly accross the street from me.  It is probably about 500 square feet of house, but has a huge yard.  The owner I believe rents it out every year to a different young man. Each one of these gentlemen have used the weekend of The Taste as a chance to sit around with all their friends, drink lots of beer, and check out every young woman who walks by.

This year the young man renting the house, or perhaps the owner, has used the house and yard more producively.  At $10.00 to park, and a turnover of cars every few hours, I think they made some serious money thus weekend.

I'm pretty open to most times.  We need to find out when Penny's available!

I've finished all work - the edit road maps are now done for the next two projects, the packages are all ready for the CDs, and now I shall go sit on my couch like so much fish and zone out.

After my laundry, I napped for a couple of hours, and then with the tv for company I lounged around reading Josh Kilmer-Purcell's newest book THE BUCOLIC PLAGUE, which i am enjoying a lot. I saw the last two episodes of THE TUDORS, had some shrimp fried rice for dinner, and now I'm going to bed. Good night, everyone!

Laundry is in the washing machine, frozen pizza is in the oven and "Futurama" is on the DVR and hi-def TV. :)
