Thanks JRand and Jennifer.  I wish it would have clicked for me that Michael Franti and Spearhead to "Say Hey"  I may have gone back to the concert sooner.  I like that song

I watched JAWS yesterday afternoon.

I hadn't seen it for perhaps 8-10 years.

It is really one of the great action-thrillers.  It holds up extremely well.

Even though I knew it was coming, I still jumped during that underwater sequence when the dead body pops out from the boat at Richard Dreyfuss.

Good morning, all! I slept late, really late, after I decided at 7:15 to go back to sleep for a while. When I decided to move, it was 10:45. Late sleeping for me is usually around 9 am.

I have absolutely no plans today, I may watch 1776, since I love the film and I have not yet seen the release with the "Cool Conservative Men" number back in the film. I most likely will continue now with Season Two of ELI STONE. I was enjoying Season One, thinking I could take it or leave it, when I got to the last three episodes and found myslef blubbering like a baby. I'm still mystified by what exactly it was that grabbed me, but something did.

I also have a bit of work on my Victor Herbert projects, and I may go out and enjoy the quiet of the Upper West Side; everyone seems to have left town for the long weekend and I like that.

I really wanted to sleep later, but just as I predicted, Mr. Young Entitled in the 1.5 million dollar house next door was out there at nine banging away getting his yard ready for what I knew would be his 4th of July party (remember, I saw his extra special top of the line easy to use gas barbecue delivered earlier in the week).

Must shower and get ready to go to the start of the push-um pull-um parade in front of the house.
Then to Main Street for the 4th of July street fair.  I intend to go to all the museums open today. The Mission, the archaeological museum, the history museum and what ever else.   Staying away from the food booths.   ;D

I'll be home after 6PM and intend to have the energy (from all the wonderful outdoor fresh air and sunshine) to catch up on the last few days of posts.

Last night I watched the second act of A STAR IS BORN on Blu and Ray.
Gorgeous transfer.
Marvelous movie.
Judy Garland was robbed.  By SIX-COUNT-'EM-SIX VOTES!  Something that close should have at least been a tie.

I've ordered the new soundtracks; i generally don't purchase them because I have too many CDs already, but i don't know Ken Thorne's music outside of the few tracks for HELP! and A HARD DAY'S NIGHT, so I thought i'd order them.

Some guy at All That Chat posts "I have the original CD release and the new recording" (of Promises) - how is this one superior?  Sometimes I just scratch my head, because if he reads the posts in the thread he will see clearly how it's superior and that the previous release isn't even the original LP mix.

Two fighter jets just flew over our house before flying over Ashland.  As soon as the jets fly over the parade begins.
