DR Michael S, I don't know about all the summer events only that I'm sure I would have loved the trip.  Keith jokes that I wasn't actually invited along.   They wouldn't have expected me to go without Keith & all I needed to do was say I was going.

I wasn't coughing too much this morning and with the heating pad on my shoulder I was able to begin reading a hardcover book, a very special book many of you have read.  Bruce, I know why the compliments have been rolling in.  I hated to put the book down, but alas I had to get up.

Back to the heat on my shoulder and a good book. :)

Yep, gonna be a big, loud party next door.  It's already loud and it hasn't even started yet.

I forgot that they do this annual little neighborhood parade, which is starting now.

I'm trapped at my place.  I'm going to go to my parents' house today, but I can't leave until after 1:00 pm, because of the Tumwater 4th of July parade.  It goes along my street so cars can't leave our complex until the parade is done.

DR JRand59, my family got St Joseph! They're going to bury him next week after they get back from their vacation. Thank you.

I would have to assume he's in some facet of the show business.

I've addressed almost all the packages (and will have just enough boxes, thankfully - and even three left over to fill a couple of Promises orders).

I've been working in the basement on the projects I was going to have Sam help me with.  It's actually going pretty well.  Mostly just organizing.  I'm taking a break but will go back down soon.  If I can get the rooms organized I will be a very happy camper

It's really humid out.  I thought about firing up the weber grill and making a charcoal grilled chicken.   I may still do that, or maybe I'll wait until tomorrow.
