Last night I watched a Monogram movie entitled SUSPENSE with Mr Barry Sullivan, Miss Belita, and Mr Albert Dekker.  Most interesting, but not too suspenseful, except I kept wondering when it would be over.

I guess Belita was a famous ice skater and she did a couple of numbers on the ice during the course of the movie - choreographed by Nick Castle and costumed by Kalloch......whew.

My question for ASK BK day.....although it may have been answered before....

Did you ever meet or encounter Miss Lucille Ball?

Hey everybody.  Things are in the home stretch around here.  Two camp shows open this weekend (and close, too) and then the 7 weeks or so of summer camps will be done.  I'll need a vacation from my "summer vacation" I think.  One of the shows were doing is 13 and upon hearing a run through (I can't see the stage), it truly is a hot mess of a show.  The music is fun to play, but the book and the lyrics... really, don't make me vent here, cuz I could!!  It's one of those shows that I can say "been there, done that".

Other than that, I'm outa here.

Dearest Elmore  type machine

I wonder if your lack of sleep  is contributing to your blues

I have no doubt it is.

I am a light sleeper.  And surprisingly sleeping with the tv on makes me not wake up to other noises.  I would think that sleeping with a radio on at the very least would take away from the noises the oaf makes.

Or earplugs.

But personally I would complain to the landlord again. It's not acceptable that you should be woken up every single night.

To add to all the merriment....here is the divine casting of one Miss Debra Messing as Mary Magdalene in a movie entitled "Jesus" (starring Jeremy Sisto).

I like to think of her as Lucy-Mag!

Congrats to DR CILLA LIZ on her appointment. Now you are one of the PIC - people in charge!

Ditto from me! This got lost in last night's fright about DR Ginny, whose DH Richard is on the board of the Middletown Historical Society (I think). I remember that on one of my visits to Ohio, we discussed it over one of DR Ginny's delicious dinners.

DRs, I have tried ear plugs and i loathe them I feel uncomfortable and claustrophobic and I'd just as soon not. I told the oaf that I hated them and that was my concession to keeping the peace, but since the pig has done nothing about carpeting or controlling his noise after 11 pm, I'm giving him no more concessions. I'll kill him first, and in my mood of the past week, it was more likely than usual.

I just finished the second page of the full orchestra section of 8 measures, It took me all morning, There are a lot of cusses playing, and I thought i'd never reach the finish of it. Now i have around 16 bars of voice and spare accompaniment, so I'll finish this turkey today.

Speaking of turkey, I will meet E&T DR Rodzinski for dinner at Artie's tonight.

Larry, are you in rent-control land?  If not, though it would be a hassle, why not move?

You will if you send me a handy-dandy e-mail to remind me, which should have your address so I don't have to go searching :)

Hey, Bruce, just checking that you got my check in the mail for London Promises. It hasn't shown up at the bank yet and I just want to make sure it's in the pipeline.

I believe we did - it would have gone into the bank Friday or Monday.

I never met Lucille Ball - although she used to play Backgammon with my cousin Dodo.  However, the woman who does a one-woman Lucy show, Suzanne Rusch, was in attendance last night at the library event.

I just spoke to Richard. I had called DR Ginny's number and got her voice mail, so I called him. She had a cat scan this morning that confirmed it was a heart attack, and she is currently in this cardiac catheter procedure (however the hell you spell it!) to look for blockage or problems. Richard is waiting for Rob to join him at the hospital. They will call as soon as the thing is over.

I had a couple of Facebook responses from people saying they'd been in rehearsal or doing this or that - my point really is that it wouldn't have mattered whether they were or not - they would have been doing something other than showing up is my point - it's always the way - no matter what day, what evening, it's always something.  And I'm down with that.

A side of me thinks the landlord is hoping that I will, but I've got good rent after 30 years of living here and I'm not moving because of a 24-year-old jerk who thinks he's in a college dormitory. I'll sue the landlord first.

They are testing the fire suppression equipment here at the church. It is very loud. I have a headache.

If there are firemen there, check them out and find a hot one for DR MBarnum. I need to send him a thank you gift for helping me out of my bad mood.

I just heard from my sister that my nephews probably won't be stopping to see me after all.  I am so so so sick and tired of my family promising to visit and then cancelling.  It has happened over and over.  I get all excited about it and plan on it and then it's cancelled once again.   I'm done rearranging my life to visit them.  If they want to see me, they can make the effort.
