Well, you've read the notes, the notes suffered from hunger pangs, and now it is time for you to post until the hungry cows come home.

And congratulations to the errant and truant who helped make yesterday the lowest posting day in, oh, about six years.  I should hope that that doesn't happen again for another six years - if 129 is the new 229 then I shall think long and hard and also hard and long about the future, Mr. Gitts, the future.

It helps not when you close the thread 45 minutes early.

Had chicken tenders and rye toast for my snack - both excellent, and we had really nice conversation.

Good morning, all! I had a problem getting on the site around 6:45 am.  I as told the server was full.

I have to run some early morning errands before I end up at Toyland for sme music, so I will be leaving shortly to do those. I hope to be back here by 10:30 or so.

Ooooo, DR Elmore, may I borrow that bootleg AttR?  It's my answer whenever BK asks what movie we'd most like to see released on DVD!

Sorry I didn't post more yesterday, BK. I got a bit of good news: I was promoted to something called an Office Operations Supervisor, or OOS (pronounced "ooze"). There may only be a few weeks left of the census, but it was a nice, out-of-the-blue announcement. It wasn't anything for which I had applied. They made the decision and then told us all about it.

I then went out with a friend and celebrated over a good dinner and a bottle of wine.

My rather battered ego, sore from filing out job applications every day never to hear anything in return, found some much-needed salve in all that.

TOD:

DVD -- "Nine" finally came in from the library, so I hope to watch that along with a collection of Bernstein on "Omnibus," including an hour on musical theater that was produced as "Candide" was preparing to open.

MP3: London "Promises, Promises" and "The Brain from Planet X"

CD: Audra McDonald's "Happy Songs"

Reading: Trollope's biography/critical analysis of Thackery and more "Anna Karenina"

Perhaps I need to add some of DR Elmore's smut to my list, too.

Good morning from Toronto.  It's cloudy this morning. Glad I did the tour bus yesterday.  Hoping it won't be too cloudy when we have our party at the CN tower tonight.

Congratulations on becoming OOS, DR JohnG!

Greetings from Toyland! The AC is on, my work is located, and I have some things to accomplish.

I've been pondering yesterday's low posts on mty way down here, and -I've said a couple of times before - I believe that we need more new blood on this site. I don't know if the Kritzerland site has a link to HHW, and I think it should, but if I were a potential DR who came aboard as a guest, saw my rants about everything and BK's rants at absent DRs, maybe I wouldn't want to become a bona fide Hainsie-Kimmlet acolyte!

I has spoke.
