Thanks all for the comments on my client story.  I don't go to the interviews very often, there usually isn't much to them and most clients just go on their own, so it's a real thrill to get to be there.

It doesn't look like we get the rebroadcast on Sunday, and I missed the beginning so I really appreciate it George!

My pleasure...and I have to admit that I didn't even know that it was going to be on until someone posted here about it that day!  I had to rush home and set my DVR before it was too late.

What a week!  I can't believe I got everything done that I needed to do.  I'll be working most of the weekend, but it's the fun part of getting ready for trial.  The research is done, the information has been jammed into my head, now I organize, finalize my strategy and lay out the game plan.   I also have to go buy my client some clothes.  we borrowed some from the Fed PD's office, but they are all too small. So Goodwill here I come

Welcome, DR Larry! Great comments on creating shows NOT according to formula. Formula would never have let Curly open "Oklahoma!" or Reno Sweeney launch "Anything Goes" with "I Get a Kick out of You." Formula would never have let "No Strings" end the way it did or be cast the way it was.

Another "want song" favorite: "Waiting for Life to Begin" from "Once on This Island."

Topic of the Day:  I've been listening to the complete Australian cast recording of The Witches of Eastwick...just don't ask how I got it. ::)

;)

From Netflix, I just got "Napoleon Dynamite."  I have three Maureen O'Hara movies on my DVR to burn to DVDs for my niece.  I've also been recording a couple of soaps for DR DakotaCelt, so I have a lot of those episodes, but at least I don't have to watch those.

And now, it's time for me to leave and go home.  Two shows were set to record on my DVR tonight, both starting at 7:00 pm.  I'll watch them tonight.

Until later!

I'm glad I have given "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" another chance. It's not the best Gilliam movie, but I love the visuals.

I am not sure how I managed to get as much work done this week as I did.  I think i did as much work this week as I did in the month of July. I have to admit I love it when there is just no option but to focus focus focus and get it all done.  I am also glad I can sleep in tomorrow

Very sad news from my friend Debby - she battled cancer several years ago, but has now been diagnosed with stage four cancer, which they're telling her in inoperable.  According to her, it's not in her bones or brain, but in her lymph nodes and near her lungs.  I've known Debby since 1988 and she's a wonderful gal and terrific artist.  She did the original Bay Cities logo, and covers for several Bay Cities albums.  One of her paintings hangs on my living room wall.  She really thought she had this beat, but cancer, that most of insidious and sickening diseases, sometimes has the final say - not always, and that, of course is the prayer we all pray, but for Debby it is not looking good, although she's a very positive person and that's part of the battle.  The fact that we live in a world where there are the most extraordinary things - computers, cell phones, amazing devices, satellites, and astonishing technology, yet in all these centuries no one has come up with a cure for a disease that inhabits a human body.  With all the billions of dollars of research every year, how can this continue to go on?  So, excellent vibes and xylophones for my friend Debby.

Are the boys going for adoption already?  They are all so cute, I'm sure they will be adopted quickly

Yes,  boys and mom go tomorrow.

No point keeping them here until the girls are big enough. Might as well send them to their forever homes now!

Prayers and vibes for Debby. We had a woman leave the office today for much the same reason, though hers is breast cancer, but it has also spread. Her name is Cindy, and she's a writer in addition to being a census bureau clerk. Her attitude has been healthy and I'm sure that will keep her in good stead as she faces what's ahead.
