Did Cillaliz's trial start today? If so, I hope things are going well and justice is served.

Yes, it started today. Was a long day and i have a headache. There was no time for food. That happens a lot in trial.  Anyway, the first day is always the worst for me, so I'm glad it's over.  It's going pretty slow though, so it could take the whole week.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TCB!  If you come down here in November for BK's "do," Betsy will make you a cake.  ;)

Is that considered bribery?  Thank you JMK!

Speaking of crimes, 83 years ago Sacco and Vanzetti were executed...a crime against the ideals of justice.

Indeed.  A very somber anniversary on my brithday.

I'm pleased to announce that my memoir, MY FORTY-FIVE DAYS IN HOLLYWOOD AND HOW I ESCAPED ALIVE, is now available for order directly from the publisher, BearManor Media.

Forty-Five Days?

Yeah, I caught that earlier today.

It's MY FORTY FIVE YEARS (not DAYS) IN HOLLYWOOD AND HOW I ESCAPED ALIVE.

That's either a senior moment or what you get when you rush things.  Probably both.

Boy, did I feel like a putz!

I figured you were just checking to see if we have been reading your posts.

I agree with you, Ginny on:

Cleo Coyle's Village Blend Coffee House series

Laura Childs' Charleston tea shop series

T.O.D.

In addition to the two series listed above, I enjoy many other authors of mysteries.  However, I must confess that my love of mysteries leans towards the mostly bloodless murders.  Therefore, I too, loved the CAT WHO books, but as so often happens, the mysteries became less important that the interchanges between the characters.  Maybe I will start over with the THE CAT WHO SAW RED.

Also,

Lorna Barrett

Joanne Fluke

Leslie Meir

Another new author (or new to me) is Tim Myers.  He has several series of books.  I have just finsihed the five books in the Lighthouse Series.  I am now starting the card making series.  The best news for Kindle owners is that his books go for $2.99 on Amazon for your Kindle

I hope I didn't miss thanking anyone for their good wishes today.  You are all such a wonderful group of people that gather at this site, or has been said before, gather in BK's living room.

I guess you could say that it is very much like having a very large and extremely eclectic family.  You may argue from time to time, but you are always proud to have them in your family.

Thanks everyone!

Congratulations on the sell-out, Bruce.

Now be prepared for all the "Waahs" from the usual folks in the usual places.

P.S.  Isn't it amazing how one particular poster at FSM knows everything about every score being issued....??!!!???

He's such a dope.  He pontificates and makes statements that are completely untrue as if they were true, the most hilarious being that the three-track masters for One-Eyed Jacks are lost.  Lost they may be, but we used a copy of them for CD 2 - all three tracks in pristine condition.

Whilst researching some data for an upcoming review, I found this priceless factoid on Wikipedia:

The song "What a Lie" from that album became a Top 10 country hit for Smith, peaking at #16.
