I finished watching the 3rd season of MAD MEN last night, and though it still moves a bit slow for my taste, I am enjoying it.
SPOILERS AHEAD:
What kind of bothers me is what the leading characters did when they decided to quit and start their own firm.
In fact, unless the laws were different in the mid-1960s, their actions made little sense.
Not only would they be liable for both civil and criminal charges (i.e. for theft), but how can they still use the name of their old company (Cooper, Sterling, etc.) since they sold it?
My wife has been watching the 4th season, and she tells me that these issues are not dealt with, which I find strange.
Anybody want to weigh in on this?
