TOD - some of my favorite mystery series are:

Cleo Coyle's Village Blend Coffee House series

Rhys Bowen's Molly Murphy series

Jacqueline Winspear's Maisie Dobbs series

Laura Childs' Charleston tea shop series

Miriam Grace Monfredo's Glynis Tryon (the town librarian) series

Joanne Dobson's Karen Pelletier (English professor) series

TOD:

Movie mysteries:  "The Thin Man" series

Book Mysteries:  Lilian Jackson Braun's "The Cat Who..." series of mystery novels

Nathan Aldyne's much-too-brief Daniel Valentine-Clarisse Lovelace series (Vermilion, Cobalt, Slate & Canary).

TOD:

It isn't much of a series (only two books) and they are more along the lines of suspense-thrillers than mysteries, but I highly enjoyed Caleb Carr's Alienist books.

Too many emails about recording budget! I may never get downtown before 2 pm, so I may go over to Staples to photocopy some things.

On the other hand, Caleb Carr's take on Sherlock Holmes (THE ITALIAN SECRETARY?) was a huge bore.

Buono Sera Mrs. Campbell also had a cast that don't see anymore

Shelly Winters
Lee Grant
Phil Silver
Peter lawford
Telly Savalas
Janet Margolin
Naomi Stevens
and Gina Lolobrridga

I think Gina and Lee are the only main cast members still alive
