Although Accuweather.com is predicting 1.48 inches of rain tonight. Um, yeah.

Sorry about the verdict, Cilla, but it sounds like you should be very proud of the work you did on the trial, and your client was lucky to have you as his lawyer.

I've been redoing schedules too - after being told by EVERYONE that Tuesday at five is good for our stumble-through the Gardenia show, two days later I'm informed by our very own Mr. Jason Graae that he's got a voice lesson at five and can't miss it.  His teacher is coming from NY.  I don't even want to know.  So, I had to get back to everyone and ask if three would work - so far, so good - waiting for one last confirmation.

The late afternoon was so annoying (traffic, dealing with the sched change), and then dinner was cancelled, so I went to Hugo's and ate way too much food - a salad and Pasta Victor, which is rather heavy beside the disclaimer of "light chipotle cream sauce" - I don't care.  It was so good I ate it all up and there was a lot to eat.  I'll jog at eight.

thanks everyone for the comments.  I've been doing jury trials since 1987 and learned long ago that I should judge my "performance" right when the jury goes out and not by the verdict.  As a criminal defense lawyer, winning is always a difficult proposition.  Sometimes having something to argue to the jury with a straight face is a challenge.

In this case, my client is connected to people who are huge drug dealers from Mexico.  The people who testified against him (5 of them) are all big drug dealers and most of the people are his relatives. He has maintained his innocence from the beginning.  I had a chance to win, but it wasn't a big chance. OK it was a very slim chance.

I'm happy with the work I did.

Thanks Vixmom. I adminre your ability to work as hard as you do and not be cranky all the time.  I don't think I could do that

DR CILLA LIZ - you are correct, the outcome doesn't always reflect the work.

I just wanted to drop in one more time this evening to say thanks to one and all for the Birthday Wishes - the cards - the banners - and the sparkly cake from DR JANE.  It was most entertaining and fun.

I would be remiss if I didn't say that one of the highlights of this year was meeting MR BK and DR CP last April when they came to Indianapolis for the production of THE BRAIN FROM PLANET X.

Never thought I would have a chance to meet either of them.....let alone both of them.....and spend the delightful and memorable afternoon and evening with them.

It was indeed a highlight.
