THE LEGEND OF LYLAH CLARE with Kim Novak is on TCM at 5:45, I understand. I wonder what Time Warner channel that may be?

When we had cable it was Channel 82 but that was a few years ago.

Here in Olympia, the standard-def channel is 501 and the hi-def channel is 701.

Last night we watched the documentary "Yoo-Hoo, Mrs. Goldberg".  You don't need to have watched the show or be a fan of Gertrude Berg to enjoy this film rich with the history of radio & early television.

I enjoyed that film! Aviva, the lady who made it, also made the Hank Greenberg film, so she's been very supportive of JEWS AND BASEBALL.

Our friendly little haineshisway.com troll is trying to disparage Sugar over on All That Chat.  So typical.

It still is channel 82; I'm taping it now.

I just had a lovely dinner of clam chowdwer and a sandwich. Wish I had some ice cream.

Cilla congrats on the new dishes.  Finding just the right dishes is exciting.

Thanks Jane,  Today I found what I think will be the perfect backsplash.  I'm going to live with the sample for awhile, since last time I found the perfect backsplash I quit thinking it was perfect very quickly

It was DS Zach's birthday yesterday, so I was E&T.

My sister emailed me asking if I had our parents' marriage certificate, as she was applying for British citizenship (our Dad was born in England).  I told her I didn't, but asked her what was going on, and she is contemplating moving back there (she lived outside of London for many years) if the US continues its wave toward radical conservatism.  DW Wife Betsy wants us to go, too.  ;)

Happy belated birthday to DS Zach.

I too want to move to England where I have told dogs are permitted in pubs.   Unfair though that only children of men can become citizens, not children of women.  At least that is what I have been told.

Yes, that's correct.  It's to teach all you uppity full-born Jews a lesson about matrilineal rights.  ;)

The exteriors for BAREFOOT IN THE PARK were filmed at one of my uncle's apartment houses.

Today I figured out how to unclog the floor drain trap in the basement.  I was quite proud when I was able to get it working with an auger and without calling a plumber.  I am very pleased

DR Edi - you projects sound like the ones I need to do.  Had it been nice, I may have painted the gazebo and deck today, at least touched up the new wood that's been replaced.  Unfortunately it's raining.  Hopefully next weekend will be better so I can get my jobs done.  Now that summer is over I have the energy to do them

That explains why we watched a preview for the Greenberg film. :)

It has been a long while since I have had a major break-through at therapy.  I am happy to report I'm still, slowly, getting more stretch and mobility with my shoulder.  I was very startled since it has been hurting more, which is a sign it is also getting a little stronger.

Good news Jane, not that you're in pain, but that it's improving.  I imagine with slow and steady improvement, you may not realize how much you've improved

I really need to think about losing weight again.

LOL, as I was writing this there was an ad on TV with kids talking about Childhood Obesity Awareness Month.  The kids are talking to their parents - but you can't see the parents, one says "Childhood Obesity has tripled and so have you, Dad"

Well, you can see me right now in the lower left corner of my post!  I am not moving, however; which is what one critic said about my acting.
