DR Jane, I have yet to hear a peep out of any of my neighbors. These walls and floors are very, very thick. The only noise I hear is the traffic outside.

SB rehearsal was good tonight.  We did two of the other major ensemble numbers and continued to work on "Let's Have Lunch".  We did see the double bar at the end!!!  However, getting there was iffy.  Tomorrow, we'll do the guys number (The Lady's Paying - my favorite) and the woman's number (A Little Suffering), and we'll do more work on "Let's Have Lunch".  Because the actress playing Norma is a AEA member, we won't see her until Oct 4.  We are trying to make our schedules work so her and I can get a lot of the more difficult things done before she comes in.

And now, to bed.

I couldn't sleep and noticed how bright the moon was coming in my window so I got up and looked out and there it was...Jupiter. How cool. I thought I'd have to go out in the country to see it, but it's so bright I can see it from my house

My new neighbor wants to build a garage in a place where there really isn't room for a garage.  He'll probably have to get a variance to do it. Tonight I was looking out and if he does it my view will be totally cut off, which in my opinion will effect my property value. I'm going to find out if he's applied for the permit and variance yet and what I have to do to object.  One other neighbor is planning to object to a variance. I think i will too.  He says it will be tasteful, but he's got the place looking pretty junky with the way he parks cars willy nilly in the grass etc.

MBarnum - I lived in a condo once that had thick walls like that and I don't think i ever heard my neighbors unless they were outside making noise.  Hope you have the same experience.  It makes living in a complex really quite nice

Well, I haven't been able to sleep, but better try again.  Morning will come early.  I actually got up to look at the city building code.  The whole building thing started going through my head.  I'll make some phone calls tomorrow and see if I can find out what's going on

Ditto and ditto!  I've even asked the several neighbors that I've had (the units on both sides of me are rentals) if they've ever heard me and they've all said that they haven't.

Good morning, all! I have a visit to the McGlinnventory this morning. After that I will come back here and continue boxing up these cartons for Ohio. I would like to ship them out of here on Friday.

DR MBarnum, thanks for the apartment photos. I've slipped them under the door of the Oaf Above Me with a note that drug sales are good in Salem and that you were a pimp. This may lure him out of my building to elsewhere. I'm desperate. I think he's back. Someone was walking around at 4:30 this morning and that dog doesn't wear shoes.

DR vixmom, fantastic news! I am so happy for you.

BK: Do you have any rituals when you hit NYC? Any stops you have to make first or something you have to do when you get there?

I have never tried fries with ranch dressing. In fact I've never even seen them served together. Is this common?

Mr Peter Filichia answered my email RE: Never Too Late

"That's what I get for writing about a show I've never seen!

Thanks!

Where's the show being done? Maybe I can come see it.

best, PF"

I let him know that it was Greencastle Indiana....and that we closed on Saturday night and mentioned, of course, my close personal friends Larry Moore and Bruce Kimmel....also mentioned that MR BK is coming to NYC this week for a book signing.

"Oh! Sorry I missed it!

I adore both Larry and Bruce. Glad they got you to me.

You have an excellent point about kids moving back in with their parents. I can't see a newly married couple wanting to do it, but I guess it's possible.

Anyway, I hope I do get to see it one of these days.

best, PF"

My brush with greatness thanks to HHW.

Yes DR TCB, my "son in law" was drunk in that picture....he's actually quite a physical comedian and fun to work with.  Of course he is only 17 years old....whew!  Right now he is playing Joseph in the JATATD at Greencastle High School....  The girl who played my daughter is also only 17 years old and a senior at a neighboring high school - she is playing the lead in their production of PLAY ON next month.

Wednesday morning greetings!  We are packing up with the intent to be outta here close to the noon check-out time, have a nice lunch, and head to the airport.  We're due back in Cincinnati, where it's hotter than Florida, around 6pm.

Vibes for BK's journey east tomorrow!
